Therefore, we must not be disconnected from our roots in any circumstances. Naturally, there may temporarily be problems at some steps, but if we are determined the victory is certain,” the Sarsanghachalak added.

LUB for separate Labour Act for SMEs
New Delhi: The National Executive Committee of the Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB), the country’s premier organisation dedicated to the cause of micro and small enterprises, stressed the need to restrict the MSME policy only to micro and small enterprises, and the medium enterprises should be delinked from it. “We at Laghu Udyog Bharati apprehend that continuation of common policy for micro, small and medium enterprises would not only dilute the policy focus on micro and small enterprises but also would divert the resources meant for micro and small enterprises to the medium sector and will dent heavily the existence of micro and small enterprises,” said LUB president Shri OP Mittal, while briefing the mediapersons of the decisions taken at the Executive Committee meeting held in Jabalpur from April 22 to 23.
LUB also stressed that there should be a separate Labour Act for micro and small enterprises. “To promote and develop micro and small enterprises, the Small Factory Act should be enacted with immediate effect,” the resolution said. In another resolution, the executive committee said the ‘RBI must ensure that its directives to the bankers and financial organisations regarding need based adequate and timely credit flow to SMEs should be implemented in time bound manner with “I Care” attitude and in letter and spirit’.
About GST, the LUB said the SMEs up to the turnover of Rs 2 crore should be allowed to be covered under zero rated duty in current GST law, and the rate of tax under CGST Act should be made to 0% or nil for SMEs upto a turnover of Rs 2 crore so as to compensate with the current exemption of excise duty.
