(Victory of Positive Politics, May 7); This refers to the interview of Manoj Tiwari by Nishant Kr Azad in Organiser  titled ‘Victory of Positive Politics’. The results of the Delhi Municipal Corporation clearly presents the declining graph of Aam Aadami Party in Delhi even though the party had won 67 Assembly seats in the past. Similar is the case of Congress. The debacle of AAP and Congress in Delhi Municipal Corporation results is a clear indication that the
general public has accepted the policies and programmes of Prime Minister Shri Narender  Modi. The results will certainly reflect  the prospects of coming Assembly Elections in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat. It is clear that now the political parties and their leaders will have to show results rather than just give false promises to the masses.

CBI’s action against TMC, not a political conspiracy
(Countdown for TMC begins, May 7); This refers to the article titled ‘Countdown for TMC begins’ by Asim Kumar Mitra in Organiser. The action by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to book 12 senior leaders of the Trinamool Congress in connection with the Narada Sting Operation Case is a serious development and the West Bengal Chief Minister cannot just brush aside this issue away by saying that it is a political conspiracy that should be
handled at the political level. As a matter of fact, this isn’t a political battle at all. It is but a case that is criminal in nature and the party and its leaders will have to fight the case legally. No amount of
demeaning the Union Government or the investigation agency or the courts will serve the purpose. As far as politics is concerned TMC has levelled allegations of political conspiracy but no charge can stick if it does not have a legal basis.   Earlier too, attempts were made to brush the incident of tapes under the carpet, which showed bribes being accepted by some senior TMC leaders. The party then, as now, put the blame to a political conspiracy by the BJP government to defame Mamata government and her party. But where does politics exist at all?

Failed Objective
(Discard the 1960 Treaty, May 7); I totally agree with the heading of the letter ‘Discard the 1960 Treaty’ which has appeared in the Readers’ Forum page of Organiser. The objective of the Indus Water Treaty concluded between India and Pakistan in 1960, during the
premiership of Jawaharlal Nehru, was to allow the flow of waters of the three
western rivers to Pakistan for flourishing and enriching their agriculture
production and fulfil other basic necessities. It was expected that the agreement would strengthen the bonds between the two countries. But now since Pakistan has been sworn enemy and inveterate hater of India and unleashes unrest and violence through acts of terrorism, India has every right to abrogate or amend the provisions of the treaty if it becomes a stumbling block to the national interest. Of course the construction of the long awaited hydro project in Kashmir may not choke the flow of wasters to Pakistan and even if it does, India should not roll back its proposal for the aforesaid project.

Complete overhaul needed
(New Facet of ‘Proxy War’, Jan 29); This refers to the article titled ‘New Facet of Proxy War’ by Karan Kharb in Organiser, giving details of anti-national and anti-Hindu activites of Rahul Gandhi, Kejriwal, Sitaram Yechury and D Raja, etc., belonging to Congress and Associates. There is nothing new in it, as they are faithfully following the
anti-national policies of Gandhi and Nehru. One example would be sufficient. Gandhi went on fast–unto-death, which included paying 55 crore rupees to Pakistan, as one of the condition for ending the fast. Pakistan had already invaded Jammu and Kashmir and giving 55 crore was going to help the enemy. But Nehru and Patel gave more importance to Gandhi, than national interests and released the money. Gandhi told Hindu and Sikh refugees from West Pakistan, that they should die in Pakistan “as no special training was needed for the art of dying”. (See page 33 of Delhi Diary)  So long as the Congress is not black listed and Constitution is corrected to make truncated Bharat a homeland for the Hindus and the non-Muslims, it would be impossible to do anything positive.

Professional stone-pelters
The Budgam confrontation between the stone–pelters and the Army speaks volumes about the looming threat from the enemy from across the border. The incident has highlighted how terror aided miscreants are escaping the clutches of law under the grab of civilians. The Army has always exercised maximum restraint while dealing with civilians. But now the unswerving patience of the Army appears to have emboldened the stone-pelters, who are erroneously termed as alienated youths by vested interests. The stone-pelters are said to be experienced professionals. Frighteningly, young children are reportedly recruited by the Inter Services Intelligence to hood-wink the Army. India should ensure its Kashmir policy is not dictated by hostilities with Pakistan.

It has now been universally accepted  that the brainwashing of Muslim children in the madrasas all over the world for the purpose of  world-conquering is the root cause of growth of terror. It is therefore necessary that the basis for this type of brain-washing in the madrasas needs to be brought into open and scrutinised threadbare.

Mind-boggling thrust of Modi and Shah
The astute duo of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah have deciphered the need to sustain and deepen the BJP’s influence among Other Backward Classes (OBCs) in the wake of a landslide win in Uttar Pradesh. Since the OBC makes up for almost 52 per cent of the India’s population, the BJP’s OBC thrust is apt. Shri Modi’s call to his party workers to work hard to ensure that Lok Sabha seats which have eluded the party, be the BJP’s in the 2019 elections , indicates that his inclusiveness pitch is at all–time high. The Government’s focus on development and jobs has allured the minority community in a big way. Of course, the Government has been able to garner tremendous
goodwill among Muslim women through its anti triple talaq push. Also the Modi Government has coined a one-of-a-kind terminology, “Backward Muslim”, which is very appropriate under the present
circumstances.
