Bengaluru: Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal (BSM), country’s leading organisation dedicated to the cause of Indianising education, is going to form Research for Resurgence Foundation (RFRF). The Foundation will have its outreach centres in different cities and universities. An interactive session on the issue was organised by Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal for academicians and research community on August 19 in Bengaluru. The session was presided over by joint organising secretary of BSM Shri Mukul Kanitkar. Dr MK Sridhar moderated the discussion. Dr Rajesh Biniwale and Dr Aravind Joshi were also present. More than 40 researchers and academicians from premier institutes gave their valuable suggestions.
Police stop Bharatmata Utsav in Left ruled Tripura
Agartala: To spread the message of patriotism, Mission 2018, a voluntary organisation active in Tripura, organised Bharatmata Utsav on August 18. Outer premises of Rabindra Bhavan Auditorium was booked for the event by paying requisite fees well in advance and also informing the government authorities about the event. Besides the outer premises of the auditorium, the organisers also expressed willingness to use the front road for the event if there is more gathering.
Accordingly, a well designed programme began on August 18 at 8.30 am by hoisting the national flag. A 6.5ft high statue of Bharatmata was also installed. As the event began, the police officers started pressing upon to finish the programme early, because an employees organisation loyal to CPI(M) planned a function near the venue. The Utsav organisers requested the police officers to make a middle way so that both the programmes can run easily. Instead of finding any solution the police officers, reportedly under political pressure, disconnected power supply before the completion of the event.
The audience attending the programme felt insulted at the nasty behaviour of the administration and started shouting slogans of Bharat Mata ki Jai. The organisers alleged that it was a pre-planned conspiracy to foil the Bharatmata Utsav. Chief organiser of the event Shri Prasenjit Chakraborty said whatever is the conspiracy the event will be organised again and again on the pious land of Tripureswari.

condemning anti-national voices
Bengaluru: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), workers staged massive protest across Karnataka on August 17 condemning the anti-national voices raised in an event held in Bengaluru on August 13. Nearly one lakh students participated in the protest held at various places in Karnataka.
The students demanded action against the Amnesty International and speedy arrest of those who allegedly raised anti-army slogans at the event. Bengaluru police have filed a sedition case against Amnesty India. ABVP activists had submitted a CD containing video recording of the event after filing a complaint with police, which registered an FIR against Amnesty International. IPC sections–142 (being member of an unlawful assembly), 143 (whoever is a member of an unlawful assembly), 147 (rioting), 124A (sedition), 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc. and doing acts prejudicial to the maintenance of harmony) have been invoked against Amnesty.
Meanwhile, Citizens for Democracy, a youth forum for upholding the spirit of democratic values, organised a Candle Light Demonstration in front of Town Hall of Bengaluru on August 20, demanding handing over the case of Amnesty Sedition Row to NIA and immediate arrest of the culprits who shouted anti-national slogans.
Bhaiyaji Joshi inaugurates Ambedkar Study Circle
Nagpur: Despite of all ill-effects in corporative sector, Nagpur Nagrik Sahkari Bank(NNSB) has been able to spread its good work and is evolving on the path of development, said RSS Sarkaryavah Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi on August 18. Praising the efforts of the bank officials for their social responsibility he said securing trust of the society was the ultimate achievement of the NNS Bank. He was speaking at the inaugural function of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Study Circle organised by NNS Bank and Bharatiya Utkarsha Mandal in association with Youth Foundation at Umred near Nagpur.
The Study Circle will guide youngsters for pursing academic excellence along with social and moral
responsibility. The physical development is the secondary factor to measure the progress of the bank. The bank should strive for satisfaction of each and every costumer and should look towards the interest of common man. It should work as a team for achieving the desired goal keeping the societal interest should be the top most priority of bank officials, he added. n
‘Change should begin from us’
New Delhi: “The change that we expect from the government or others should first be shown in practice by us. Only then we have the moral right to press upon our demand. We all demand to have education in Indian languages, but how many of us indeed sign in our own languages?” asked national co-convener of Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas Shri Atul Kothari, while delivering Kaka Kalelkar Memorial Lecture in New Delhi on August 21. The topic of the Lecture was ‘Coordination in Indian languages and National Unity’. Dr Brijkishore Sharma, chairman of Rajaram Mohan Roy Library presided over the function. Shri Kothari stressed that the country would not make progress until we ensure that education in India is imparted in Indian languages only. The major cause of deteriorating condition of the Indian languages is that we impart higher education in a foreign language.
Dr Brijkishore Sharma said the present Constitution does neither has Indianness nor the ideals of Gandhiji. The British have left but their culture still dominates India. That is why we are not moving forward. In the beginning, eminent Sanskrit scholar Prof Ramesh Chand Bhardwaj spoke in detail about the life and work of Kaka Saheb Kalelkar. n
‘Family should teach a child how to live for others’
Agra: “Social transformation should be brought in a holistic manner leading to poignancy in the society. That we all belong to the same family should form the basis of this metamorphosis. That is how Shivaji erected an army of people with honour,” said RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat while addressing a gathering of young couples in Agra on August 21. The function was organised by Parivar Prabodhan, an RSS initiative.
Shri Bhagwat further said it is the responsibility of the family to teach a child how to live for others. “Western societies are driven by markets. But we are driven by the needs of needy. It has nothing to do with the movement in markets wherein compassion, discipline and ancient wisdom is put aside. Our ancient wisdom should form the basis of our progress. Family
bonding and value education to children are utmost virtues to direct the society in right direction. That is how young couples need to
contribute towards the society. We should be recognised by the name of our country,” he said. Prant Sanghachalak Shri Jagdish and Kshetra Sanghachalak Shri Darshanlal Arora also shared the dais. n
‘Education should lead to exploitation-free society’
Agra: Strongly advocating for review of the present education system RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat on August 23 emphasised that education should lead to exploitation-free and homogeneous society. He was interacting with around 1,000 college and university teachers in Agra. The event witnessed the participation of teachers, vice-chancellors, registrars and others representing various universities, colleges, IITs and management institutions.
Shri Bhagwat called upon the participants to start the process of change with strong willpower. Nothing will change in the education system even after the government spends 50 per cent of the GDP unless teachers decide to change themselves and stop being self-centred. He also said it was wrong to blame the Mughals or British for social ills. “We are responsible for the present state of affairs. Therefore, change the society, the system would change automatically,” he added.
Teachers should strive to make the society and nation homogeneous and free of all kinds of exploitation. During the question answer session discussion the teachers raised many issues regarding the irregularities in education field. Shri Bhagwat advised them to directly write to the HRD Minister. Vice-Chancellor of GLA University Shri Durg Singh Chauhan also shared the dais.
‘Vidya Bharati schools are need of the nation’
Udhampur: Bharatiya Shiksha Samiti has received ten acre of land at Nansu Village of Udhampur District in J&K for building a school. The foundation stone for the school was laid on August 17 by Sant Subhash Shastri. Speaking on the occasion Shastriji said apart from education the Vidya Bharati schools also impart samskars of patriotism and service to the mankind, which are very much needed today. Speaker of J&K Assembly Shri Kavindra Gupta, Minister of State for Education Smt Priya Sethi, local MLA Shri Dinanath Bhagat and Shri Pawan Gupta also spoke on the occasion.
Shri Pradip Kumar, organising secretary of Bharatiya Shiksha Samiti, apprised the audience of the activities of the Samiti. Senior Sangh Pracharak Shri Arun Kumar and Sah Prant Karyavah Shri Ashwini were also present on the occasion. The school, to be build with the support of Sant Ishwar Shiksha Samiti, is expected to be ready by next year.
Police block Hindu Aikyavedi March to Sathyasaran
Malappuram: Demanding closure of Sathyasarani religious study centre in Manjeri, Hindu Aikyavedi took out a protest march to the Centre on August 23. Police blocked the March when it started from the Bus Stand premises around 10 am, preventing it from proceeding to the Centre in Cherani near Manjeri town. The Aikyavedi said the Study Centre is involved in forced conversion and recruitment to international terror organisations.
The March was inaugurated by BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan. He demanded the State governments to take immediate action to close down the illegal religious study centres and conversion centres which are promoting extreme religious ideologies. Senior leaders of RSS and VHP also took part in the protest programme.
On August 17, considering a petition of a Kottayam native that his 23-year-old daughter Akhila aka Hadiya is under custody of Study Centre, Kerala High Court directed the State police chief to block the girl from going abroad to join any terror organisation and
produce her before the Court on or before August 22. Though the Malappuram police raided the Centre, the team failed to find the girl. The search for the BHMS student
studying in Salem in Tamil Nadu is still on. A similar complaint was filed recently by a woman in Thiruvananthapuram that her daughter is under illegal custody of Sathyasarani. n
‘History should be unbiased’
Varanasi: There should be no prejudice or bias towards the history, as it symbolises knowledge. History is associated with the human life, which is based on feeling and love,” said Dr Balmukund Pandey, national organising secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Yojna, while speaking at a two day national conference of women historians. The conference was organised in Banaras Hindu University.
Dr Pandey said women cannot be separated from history writing. He stressed that literature, folk art and culture should be the prime source of history. He lamented that the history written in India after 1950 was
distorted more than by the imperialist historians. Senior Sangh Pracharak Shri Madhubhai Kulkarni, national president of Itihas Sankalan Yojna Dr Satish Chandra Mittal and national vice president Dr Deviprasad Singh also spoke on the occasion. Speaking at the concluding ceremony Union Minister of Tourism and Culture Dr Mahesh Sharma said Indian culture is moving ahead to guide the entire world.
