New Delhi: A delegation of Rashtriya Sikh Sangat led by national president Sardar Gurcharan Singh Gill and comprising of former RSS Delhi Prant Sanghachalak Shri Ramesh Prakash Sharma, Sikh Sangat organising secretary Shri Avinash Jaiswal, general secretary Dr Avatar Singh Shastri and BJP vice president Shri Shyam Jaju called on the Union Minister of Railways Shri Suresh Prabhu on July 15. The delegation requested the Minister to start special trains to Patna Sahib between September 15, 2016 and January 15, 2017 twice a week from Amritsar and Firozpur, and at least once from Chandigarh, Shriganganagar and Mumbai. The delegation also requested for beautification and expansion of Amritsar and Patna Sahib Railway Station. Taking prompt action Shri Prabhu arranged a meeting of the delegation with the officials concerned.
New Delhi: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and other Hindu organisations workers staged strong protest at Jantar Mantar against the terror attack and against the misbehaviour with the Amarnath piligrims in Jammu & Kashmir. VHP State organising secretary Dr Anil Kumar warned the CM of Jammu & Kashimir to control the situation sternly. He said Kashmir is the holy place of sage Kashyap and Baba Amarnath. He praised the Indian armed forces in the fight against terrorists. State vice president Shri Gurdin Prashad Rustagi said every young man of the Hindu society is ready to sacrifice for the nation.
Jaipur: “Hindus have been migrating to avoid fight since years. But now the time has come to give a befitting reply to the Vidharmis with valour,” said working president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Dr Pravin Togadia. He was addressing a function organised at Totuka Bhavan on July 17. He was in Jaipur to participate in the Akhil Bharatiya meeting of Bajrang Dal. He said the people of entire country should unite with the army and the police against those pelting stones in Kashmir. He also stressed the need to introduce Common Civil Code in the country. About the Ram Temple he said the government should enact a law in the Parliament. VHP joint general secretary Dr Surendra Jain, national co-convener of Bajrang Dal Shri Manoj Verma and many other senior leaders of VHP and Bajrang Dal were also present on the occasion.

Nagpur: Rashtra Sevika Samiti believes that implementing the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) is the only effective way out to protect the dignity and honour of Muslim women and strengthen the national integrity, said Samiti’s Pramukh Karyavahika Sushri Annadanam Seetha Gayatri.
Addressing mediapersons on July 8, the last day of the Samitis’s three-day national executive meeting Smt Gayatri said that the Samiti has passed a resolution demanding the immediate implementation of the UCC.
The meeting was attended by over 200 activists from all over the country to deliberate on various matters pertaining to the spread and strengthening of its activities. She said in all the developed countries all citizens are treated at par without any discrimination on the basis of caste, creed, colour, regions or sex. After Independence, there should have been UCC in our country too, but due to political compulsions this did not happen. Political leadership of India got engaged in vote bank politics and ignored the UCC, she said.
The term Civil Code is used to cover the entire body of laws related to property and otherwise in personal matters like marriages, divorce, maintenance, adoption and inheritance. As things stand there are different laws governing these aspects for different communities in India. Thus, the laws governing inheritance or divorce among Hindus would be different from those pertaining to Muslims and Christians and so on. The Samiti has an opinion that because of the different laws for different communities, there is rise in separatism, terrorism and the exploitation of women, she said.
The Supreme Court has sought opinion from Central government, Ministry of Women and Child Welfare and Attorney General. The Samiti appealed to the government to initiate steps to implement the UCC to protect the rights of the women, especially those of Muslim women. Akhil Bharatiya Sah Karyavahika Sulbha Deshpande,Nagpur Vibhag Bouddhik Pramukh Medha Nandedkar and Sah Karyvahika Leena Gahane were also present during the press conference.

Hyderabad: Bal Gokulam, a forum designed to enable children to rediscover Hindu cultural roots, learn ancient values in an enjoyable manner and to develop a sense of sewa as well as service to humankind, has emerged as a big children movement. In Hyderabad, 50 Bal Gokulams are run in various apartment complexes. One of such Bal Gokulams at RV Avaneendra Apartments in Miyapur celebrated its fifth annual function on July 17. The participating children demonstrated various cultural activities. It was attended by more than 250 parents and others in the nearby apartment areas

New Delhi: Keeping in mind, its core objective of supporting the underprivileged and to economically empower the unemployed youth by providing career opportunities, Sewa Bharati Delhi is going to organise a job fair at Nutan Marathi School, Paharganj in Delhi on July 24. According to Sewa Bharati general secretary Ram Kumar more than 1,000 underprivileged youth have been trained for skill development at various computer centres, stitching centres and Bal Vadis in Delhi. They are all skilled people and fit for employment. They are trained for a variety of jobs like data entry, clerical staff, sales, house-keeping and supporting staff. More than 200 companies are expected to offer job opportunities in the job fair.
The Sewa Bharati has been working in Delhi since 1979. A dedicated team of 4,000 volunteers work in the field of women empowerment, skill development, education for street children, healthcare, corporate social responsibility. “The objective of this fair is to increase employment opportunities for the youth who excelled in various vocational training courses offered by the Sewa Bharti, for instance computers, IT, web designing, mobile repairing, electrical repairing, etc. We expect about 1,500 candidates to work as receptionist, office boy, field boy computer operator, DTP, accountant, house staff, drivers, home-office maintenance staff, managers, marketing sales staff, assistant/senior manager level staff etc,” added Shri Ram Kumar.
Ahmedabad: Severely condemning the recent atrocities on Dalit youth in Gir Somanath District of Gujarat, the State unit of RSS strongly condemned all forms of discrimination, injustice and atrocities in the name of caste. “It is a painful incident for the entire Hindu society. The RSS condemn any such incident in the strongest words. Such a inhuman behaviour is a heinous crime against our own people. The Sangh believes that those who are involved in it should be punished. Such incidents with the people of Scheduled Castes exhort the entire society to seriously think over it. It is the responsibility of all to ensure mutual trust, affection and brotherhood in all sections of the society. The RSS calls upon the people of all communities to come forward for restoring harmony in the society. It is an attack on the entire Hindu society and such incidents poison the atmosphere in the society,” the statement issued by the RSS in Ahmedabad on July 21 said.
Hyderabad: “Value based relationships are essential in the human life. They play a prominent role in identifying our personality and Bhartiyata. These are the things to be followed in the age of globalisation. It is time for us to recollect and reconnect to these values and nurture them with the roots of the Hindu culture,” said Akhil Bharatiya Mahila Samanvay Pramukh Geetatai Gunde while addressing Mahila Samanvay workshop in Hyderabad on July 17. The workshop was organised by Telangana Prant Mahila Samanvay on the topic “Value Based Relationship” (Family, Work Place and Society). Over 70 women karyakartas from different wings of the Sangh attended the workshop. It was divided into two sessions. First was on “Importance of values in family system” and second on “Importance of values in society and necessity to follow.” In the first session, Pothuri Vijaya Laxmi, a poetic and writer, spoke on the necessity of value based relationships, and importance of encouraging them. She said running after worldly pleasure may not give complete and desired satisfaction. Noted writer Dr Sunitha Ramohan Reddy explained the importance of values and how to learn and imbibe them in today’s life from the ancient books. Unfortunately, today we are facing the widening gap in connecting them, due to which people are unaware of the values and culture that exist in our ancient scripts. Retd Professor Dr Anantha Laxmi explained the importance of values in the society and the necessity to follow them. Chennai: Statewide protest was organised by Hindu Munnani demanding the State Government to withdraw ‘Darshan’ fee in the temples and give up the administration of temples. Citing the recent court verdict of February 29, the Hindu Munnani demanded that the temple funds should be used only for temple maintenance.
Nearly 6,000 Hindu temples are under the control of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department of Tamil Nadu. About 20,000 people including a good number of women participated in protest demonstration organised at 88 places across the State. Shri Ramagopalan, founder of the Hindu Munnani led the protest march in Chennai.
Delhi : Vishwa Hindu Parishad started a Ved Vidyalaya at Shri Sanatan Dharma Mandir, Nehru Nagar, in Delhi on July 13. The school began in the presence of VHP general secretary Shri Champat Rai. Prior to the formal inauguration, a yajna was performed. Shri Champat Rai on this occasion said the VHP is committed to take the Vedas to the common masses. He pointed out that with the inspiration of second RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Guruji, the late Ashok Singhal dedicated his life for the propagation of the Vedas. Many eminent personality of Delhi were also present on the occasion.
