(Ultimate Unifier, April 17);Editorial and a number of articles have been dedicated to Dr Ambedkar in Organiser dated April 17, and rightly so . Dr Ambedkar was the only genius leader, who discussed in detail Muslim problem from various angles in his book Pakistan or the Partition of India and advised , that it was in the interest of Hindus, to accept Pakistan with complete exchange of population. He writes on page – 102 of his book , that “ That the transfer of minorities is the only lasting remedy for communal peace is beyond doubt.” On page -104 he further says that “The only way to make Hindustan homogeneous is to arrange exchange of population. Until this is done , it must be admitted , that even with the creation of Pakistan , the problem of majority vs minority will remain in Hindustan as before and will continue to produce disharmony in the body politics of Hindustan.” One can see that this visionary has proved to be perfectly correct. If we really want to pay homage to Dr Ambedkar , Modi’s government must give practical shape to his advise of “ Complete Exchange of Population”, to save truncated Bharat from destruction and to bring in peace and harmony.

| Congress has gone to dogs The recent reports brought out by the Income Tax Department linking Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s son- in- law Robert Vadra with controversial arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari and Sonia Gandhi’s full defence of her son-in-law clearly shows that the Congress Party which was once considered as the only patriotic political Party has gone to dogs. Today no Congressman is giving priority to the Party. As the country struggles to meet the basic needs of the masses, the economic playing field tilting too far in favour of the kith and kin of the political class, sends a wrong message .Today Indian voters can no more be fooled in the name of roti, kapda and makan, they need to be treated as ‘global’citizens. The Congress will be scripting its own end by appointing Rahul Gandhi as chief. Add to that the burden of Vadra and the Congress’s fall will be imminent. A pertinent question arises here : is there a genuine problem in prosecuting the members of the Nehru-Gandhi clan who ruled the country for more than half the post –Independent era or is there a lack of political will to rein them in ? Any ordinary Indian today will definitely feel that the Nehru – Gandhis are above the long arm of law. This should not happen . The Gandhis should be treated like any other and the law must be allowed to take its own course. |
BJP shines in Assam too
(Assam Creates History, May 29); This refers to N J Thakuria’s story titled ‘Assam Creats History’.The BJP’s victory in Assam will surely boost the Party’s morale and help it design its electoral campaign for the 2017 Assembly polls. Of the five States going to polls next year ,Uttar Pradesh and Punjab will be the challenge for the BJP. In this backdrop, the Party has done well to start its election campaign from Saharanpur so early , by showcasing its achievements to the public. Uttar Pradesh will have a three cornered fight between the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party. So the BJP needs to put its best to win this State as it will give a major boost for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s just concluded visit to Iran will further expand political, cultural and economic ties between India and Iran, who share longstanding civilisational ties. It will be a game-changer as India will have an alternative route to Afghanistan and Central Asia Intelligence sharing between Iran and India will be of great help to both the countries.

Despite successive defeats in the Assembly elections after its electoral debacle in 2014 , no introspection has been done by the Congress leaders to revive their party. First, the Congress should function as a responsible Opposition in the House. Secondly the Party must stop banking only on the charisma of the Nehru- Gandhi family. Moreover the party has failed to reach out to the poor and the downtrodden. The Congress has a lot of homework to do. Just blaming the BJP will not work.

A growth rate at 7.9 per cent in the fourth quarter and an overall 7.6 per cent in the financial year 2015-2016 , as against the projected 7.2 per cent , is the fastest growth rate in major economies of the world. It vindicates World Bank chief Jim Yong Kim’s observation that in times of global economic recession India is shining like a star. Obviously, the Modi Government’s reform initiatives have started bearing fruits in spite of the hurdles created by the Opposition, particularly the Congress Party, which has been obstructing crucial Bills like the Goods and Services Tax Bill, even as its implementation can boost the growth rate by one per cent to two per cent. Achche din for the economy are here within two years and still there are three more years left.

India is making a mark on the world map
Two years since Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi surprised the public and the critics alike by inviting foreign leaders from the neighbourhood to his swearing-in-ceremony, and indicating that foreign policy would be at the centre of his agenda, the momentum he generated on May 26, 2014, remains strong. This itself is an achievement. In his second year alone, Modi has travelled to more than 20 nations and hoisted several heads of state at home including a large contingent of leaders from Africa and the Pacific Islands. Each of these has helped revitalise India’s ties with friends and partners abroad. In many cases such as Mongolia and the Central Asian Republics ( which he visited in May and July 2015 respectively) or even Ireland ( September 2015 ) and most recently Iran ( May 2016 ), the very fact that there was political engagement at the highest levels of Government after decades is itself a big achievement. In terms of themes and focus areas, Two Years saw a reiteration of the Neighbourhood First policy, though with mixed results. Notably, this past year also the Modi government is giving shape to its west Asia policy.

Remembering Leaders
It is a shame that today , few Indians know about great revolutionaries like Surya Sen, Bagha Jatin, Kanailal Dutta, Khudiram Bose, Kalpana Dutta and Pritilata Waddedar. The life story and heroic death of each of them inspired thousands of others to join the Freedom Struggle, in spite of the threat of gallows, bullets and inhumane torture. Hopefully, India’s history will be re-written in the near future.

Prohibiting ‘Cow-Trafficking’
This refers to the conference held by Government of India on ‘Cow-Protection’and ‘Goushala’ in New Delhi on 16.5.2016.In the conference few ‘Gousevaks’ asked Shri Prakash Javadekar, Honourable Union Minister that NDA-2 Government has failed to stop cow trafficking to neighbouring countries. I wish to ask, by just checking cow trafficking can we obtain total cow protection? Definitely not. First we must know and make means and method to sustain them. If we cannot sustain them cow slaughter will automatically increase in our country, because since the cow population will increase in our country and at the same time the means to sustain them will not be available, obviously beef will become cheap and the population of beef consumers will increase. Mind it until and unless we make needful arrangements to sustain the cows after they complete their ‘Milk Giving Phase’, nothing is going to happen towards cow protection, even after checking cow trafficking. And the only solution is making ‘Cow-Ministry’ at State and Central government level offering various Subsidies, Schemes, Training and Counseling, Marketing outlets for the products and by-products from cow, the farmer produces and giving him his profit, so that he can sustain his cows till their natural death, without abandoning them in between.
