On May 6, the police arrested one Giyasu Seikh, the owner of the house. He told the court that that ‘none from his family member was at home, when the TMC workers were manufacturing bomb’. However, the police have surrounded his house. Police picket has been created there. Superintendent of Police, Malda District, Sayed Wakare Raja told the media, “We have registered a case against owner of the house with specific IPC sections. He will be taken to custody for interrogation. Investigation is going on with all possible dimensions.”
The relatives of the dead CID personnel are angry with the police as they feel that the police failed inproviding adequate medical facilities to the victims.
Malda District is standing over the volcano because of huge production of explosives and opium farming. Sources say during explosion at Baisnabnagar three other people died other than the four culprits. Their bodies were hidden very swiftly. All these were active worker of the TMC. It is to be noted that three persons had died about one and a half year ago at Jadupur Village of English Bazaar Police Station in Malda. But the police neither investigated the case nor recovered the bodies. Villagers say the administration must explain why the hooligans under the TMC umbrella are manufacturing explosives. In nutshell, the ultra extremists are freely moving under political shelter, while the district is under highly volcanic situation.
