Readers’ Forum : Is this secularism?

Is this secularism?
Are the Congress and its fellow travellers secular? They are indulging in a diabolical game to defame the BJP and the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, but they are finding it difficult to fool the common man. Frustrated, they are using a friendly media to play their dirty game, But I am sure that they will not succeed.

Single medical test: A boon

The single medical test is a boon to students preparing for admission to medical colleges in the country. There are three good reasons for this. They are: The students do not have to prepare for various types of tests conducted by different institutions, since many aspirants tend to apply to more than one medical college. As any applicant testify, this is a harrowing experience, since the examination papers have different patterns and the student has to grapple with them all for a medical course that is eventually common throughout the country. The second is that the student do not have to end up paying up multiple examination fees. This will come as a big relief to those students who are financially not well off and often lose out because they are unable to apply to a number of institutions. Lastly there is the elimination of the necessity to fill multiple application forms having various deadlines and running from one end of a place to another. The success of the single-test system will depend on its implementation. The Medical Council of India and the Government authorities must ensure that the process is flawless.

Not learning any lesson
It is a fact that while we take much pride in our civilisational wealth and riches, we simply do not do enough to protect and conserve our treasure troves. The recent examples of  fire in the National Museum of Natural History in New Delhi and the fire at the Zoology Department of Kolkata Ballygunge Science College are disgusting. Worse still, precious little effort has been put in to save and restore whatever little has escaped the fire.

Corrupt Congress
(Rules of Dynastic Corruption, May 8); The Italian court’s judgements in the AgustaWestland Chopper controversy has made it clear that the firm lobbied with the Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her close associates. Meanwhile the Congress now in the Opposition, is running short of issues to attack the BJP Government for its lapses. Instead of grand old party has itself been providing material to the treasury benches to attack the top leadership of the Congress for its corrupt deals that are now coming into the limelight.

(Playing with Fire, 24.4.2016); This is with reference to the front page story in Organiser by T Satisan. This is yet another demonstration of the truth that even God will not interfere to set right man’s monumental stupidity in defying common sense. The Kollam tragedy reeks of arrogance, as, reportedly, some local politicians used their clout to negate orders against the holding of fireworks display at the temple. I feel that the firework displays should not be done in the midst of a populated place. They should be done at the banks of a lake or a river and their trajectories turned towards the water, so that when ember fall, they do so harmlessly in the water. Unfortunately, despite such tragedies, we have not put in place fool-proof mechanisms to avoid disasters. The approach road to one of the oldest temples is said to be too narrow to allow easy escape routes. Devosam Board of Kerala may not want to eliminate fireworks, but it must at least ensure that the safety of people is not compromised in the name of celebration. Government as well as general public too must learn from such tragedies.

Shiv Sena should take a firm decision
Shiv Sena appears to be in a frustrated and confused state otherwise different statements would not have come from its leaders. Recently its chief had threatened to reconsider its alliance with the BJP. Shiv Sena’s high ambition and over confidence to capture power in Maharashtra Assembly polls was shattered by the BJP which emerged as the single largest party by increasing its strength double than Shiv Sena.Shiv Sena wants monopoly of power in its home State Maharashtra and does not want to share its power with the BJP.At the same time it has also made it clear that it would not quit the government before 2019 Assembly polls. I fail to understand that if it cannot continue to work with the BJP why to wait for three years. Why not quit right now.Shiv Sena should take a final decision once for all.

Be alert
Let us not forget that Sonia Gandhi’s father was working for Mussolini first and later on for the  Komitet Gosudarstvennoy Bezopasnosti (KGB), the main security agency for the Soviet Union . The family is still getting pension from KGB as per some sources. Indira Gandhi was implanted by Russians to bring India under Soviet influence. Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Krishna Menon never forgot to condemn the US. Indira Gandhi used to get rid of her political rivals through her RAW and was a Soviet type dictator. Sonia had helped millions of missionaries to come to India and do head hunting. When she wanted to go back to Italy after Rajiv’s assassination, the Vatican and others assured her all help and suggested her to stay in India and play dirty politics, which she is religiously doing. Since Shri Narendra Modi is becoming popular not only in India but in the whole world Congress and its allies are leaving no stone unturned to tarnish his reputation. They want to create an atmosphere in which anti-India anti Modi campaign goes around the world. Look at the way Amnesty International, self styled US International Human Rights delegates wants to come to India to check human rights violations. We may not be surprised if some anti social elements are hired to arrange attacks on Churches and Mosques or attack some Dalits to make headline news and target BJP. One can imagine when Chiadmabarm’s son who is without any job owns 15 big companies in different countries and is valued at 5.5 Billion dollars, how much Sonia must have made as they were doing business in Europe through Quatrochi. Bharat should be on alert as these anti-national forces want to create bandhs, protests and agitations everywhere so that mid- term elections to the Lok Sabha may be announced.

Muslims will never change
(Doctorji and Muslims, April 10); Apropos to the article ‘Doctorji and Muslims’ in Organiser by ShriYadava Rao Joshi. The writer has tried his best to show some exceptional individual cases of good Muslims, who came in contact with Dr Hedgewar, and based his conclusion that Dr Hedgewar was confident, that with congenial change in the Muslim’s attitude they would certainly love and cherish once again their old racial memories and join in all national endeavours. Even if Dr Hedgewar cherished such views, these were much before creation of Pakistan in 1947. But after the creation of Pakistan such views have no relevance as it has been factually proved that the teachings of Islam would never allow Muslims to change. That phase is closed for ever as Muslims created their separate homeland of Pakistan and liquidated almost entire Hindus and  Sikhs in most cruel manner. Now truncated Bharat belongs to Hindus, including Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists etc and all Muslims now living in our homeland must be made to go to Pakistan and Bangladesh. This would solve our so many acute problems, like Islamic terrorism, vote bank politics, Islamisation of truncated Bharat etc. Therefore this article is irrelevant and will misguide and confuse the Hindus.

Screening for VC’s post
(Proud alumni of BHU, April 3); After reading the article titled ‘Proud alumni of BHU’ sub titled ‘Got initiated in nationalism’ by Shri Ram Bahadur Rai in Organiser a question came to my mind—how in a institution like Banaras Hindu University (BHU) founded with so many nationalistic objectives, a communist man like Kalulal Srimali (of course at the time of the Emergengy) was appointed as its Vice Chancellor? Is there no screening process while appointing people to the post of Vice Chancellor. If not, now that there is a favourable government amendment should be made for future safety and non-recurrence of such aberration.

Don’t subjugate women
Most religious traditions are patriarchal and aimed at subjugating women. One cannot attach a divine sanctity to these practices. A similar mindset banned women from entering the temples. If an opinion poll of Muslim women is taken, most would support the scrapping of triple talaq. It is high time India should enact a common civil code.
