That Nehru is a great “quick change” artist and a political opportunist is again  amply illustrated by his some results vis-à-vis Netaji in his past and present attitude towards the latter. Verily, none will find Nehru missing  where there are cheers, applauses and garlands to be earned.
Now
Unveiling the portrait of Netaji Bose at the Rajbhawan alias the Government House of Calcutta, on 24-3-52 Nehru said:
“Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, who was my near and dear colleague, has not only served the cause of India but by his services brought freedom to us. When I think of him, standing here as I do, I feel lonely because he was younger, but although younger, he was a near and dear colleague with whom we worked for many years. Somehow, I lose the perspective of history standing here in this picturesque house and thinking of one our near and dear colleague, who had become  part of the history of India. What part he had played in the history of India and what part any of us here today played is a matter for future historians to Judge. But so far as love and gratitude of the people  count, the part he has played is a great part of the love and gratitude flowing from the core of the heart of the people. So, today, we  are unveiling the portrait of a comrade, a friend and a leader of India.”
Nehruji very conveniently and to escape exposure, wants to leave the verdict of the respective parts he and Netaji played in the History of India to future historians, leaving the present historians without any work!

RSS Relief Work

In Rayal Seema
Famine Area

Known, respected and relied upon for its efficient relief work whenever national calamities Demand it, the RSS has again Risen to the occasion. Last Week it started the Rayal Seema Sahayata Samati Under the Presidentship of Shri B Ramachandra Reddy Garu, MP Nellore, to AID victim country. Men of the Famine Striken Rayal Seema Territory in Madras State.
A meeting of prominent RSS workers of Bezwada, Guntur, Durva, Tenali, Mailavaram, Tirupati, Kurnool and West Godawari districts was held recently in Vijayawada under the chairmanship of Shri KV Laxmi Narayan shastri, wherein it was determined to use all means to speed up the relief work. Young and enthusiastic workers of the Sangh have started a drive for door to door collections of grains, money, fodder and other necessities. The response has been encouraging all round and even villager are handing  over their mite gladly:
Collections as yet have been already dispatched to the affected areas.

Then
Netaji, during the days of his association with the congress, had always been a fearless critic of not only Nehru but also of Gandhiji hiself. Although his allegiance to the national cause was never in doubt he frequently disagreed with the official policy of the congress High command. In the Calcutta session of the Congress in 1928, Netaji demanded complete independence while the official congress demand was for  dominion status. That Netaji, in spite of his un-ORTHODOX  views became  elected to the Presidentship of the Congress in 1938 and again in 1939 was not due to any “change of heart” in the High Command but entirely due to his own magnetic personality irrespective of his “loyalty” or otherwise to the Gandhian Doctrines. The defeat of Gandhiji’s ‘favourite” by Netaji was a direct hit at Gandhiji in the “raw.” So things were so manipulated that in the 1940 session of the AICC held at Calcutta, Netaji had to resign his presidentship by way of protest. Bose was expelled from even primary membership of the Congress. Later when the whole Country rose to welcome the INA, Nehru donned with the alacrity of rusty gown and enlisted as a Barrister to defend the case against it. These authentic facts need reiteration – Lest People Forget!
