Readers? Forum : No mention of ?Cow Protection in Budget 2016-17?

The NDA-II Government”s third budget 2016-17 is definitely an agriculture based budget, but I was utterly disappointed to see that nothing has been done towards ‘Cow-Protection’. Though stress has been put on ‘Crop-Insurance’, but that is not the permanent solution for the growth of agricultural and prosperity in our country. The government has the intention of developing ‘Organic-Farming’ in a big way in the country, I  wish to ask the government that how it would attain and accomplish this feat until something in a big way is done towards ‘Cow-Protection’. Let us not forget that cow and its family is the backbone of our country’s agricultural scenario since ages and up to this day, and our country’s economy is totally dependent and built upon it. Until something is done towards “Cow-Protection’, nothing substantially will be achieved in the agriculture sector of our country, including ‘Organic-Farming’. In this regard we again appeal to NDA-II government to fulfil its election promises and the long cherished dream of people by making a Ministry exclusively for cow at Central and State level governments.

Reservation on Caste Basis is Hindrance

(Agitation & Anguish, March 6); The stories regarding Harayana agitation in Organiser are quite thought provoking. They force the reader to contemplate as to why such a situation was allowed to take place? Where were the intelligence agencies of the State? Had the intelligence agencies forewarned the political leadership about the impending law and order situation in the State? And if they had done so why no action was taken by the State government? Seeing the situation it appears that there was no coordination between various agencies of the State and the security forces. It appears either the mobilisation of the Army was not up to mark or it was kept in the dark without seeing the gravity of the situation. There is also a possibility that they were informed only when the situation went out of control. It is time that we all update and go through our internal security schemes which are supposed to be available with every information headquarters and District Headquarters in the State. Let us be professional and foresee the desired requirements and not react only when the situation becomes out of control.

(Agitation & Anguish); This refers to the front page story in Organiser by Dr Chandra Trikha. I feel the root cause of the Jat agitation in Haryana with demand for reservation is absurd.Reservation of all kinds is a hindrance to the country’s economic development. Agreed , the economically weaker sections must be looked at by giving them more opportunities to come up, but reservations are not the way.Such violent stirs not only result in loss of property worth crores of rupees , normal life too is paralysed. The common man is affected badly.Perhaps it is time to abolish all kinds of reservation in the interest of the nation. Politicians must not use reservations as a tool for vote bank politics.

India Gate Canopy

It is indeed unfortunate that despite decades have passed since the statue of King George was removed from under the famous canopy at India Gate (New Delhi), successive Union governments have failed to fill the vacuum. It is surprising that successive governments could not decide on stalling some statue in the empty canopy of India Gate where tourists from across and outside the country come in large numbers daily. Union government should take an early decision to place a suitably designed statue of some prominent personality at the empty canopy of India Gate.  Better is to install a statue of a person who had been instrumental in giving tough fight to erstwhile British rulers like the trio of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev or Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Or else the statue of Sardar Patel who was instrumental in unifying erstwhile monarchy states in Bharat can be there.

Sedition Law

(Detoxifying JNU, February 28); The discussion on the Sedition Law has been rekindled in the aftermath of the recent JNU unrest. In this context, it will not be out of place to mention here about an incident during the reign of the UPA II at the Centre. On that occasion, a senior Kashmiri leader (and off course, a friend of the UPA) had openly demanded that Pakistani currency should be allowed to be circulated as a valid tender in the Special Status State. Armed with corroborating evidence, the NDA government can try this person (who is very much around) under the country’s Sedition Law; or, is it that the State of J&K is not covered by this Section of the Indian Statute?

Playing dirty politics at the cost of nation

Rahul  Gandh’s  great forefathers and forebearers sacrificed their lives to secure the national interests while he is throwing these interests into winds and is playing his dirty political cards by encouraging pro Pakistani agents in Bharat. By doing this, he is not only tarnishing the image and interest of the nation but also the image of the celebrated Gandhi family. His political arrogance and imbecility is sure to cost the Congress Party in the coming elections.

 Muslims away from logic

(Uprooting from Traditions, February 14); The article by Shri T S Venkatesan has given detail of fatwas issued by Muslim scholars, against all the Patanjali  products of Baba Ramdev, considering that cow’s urine is used in them. But Muslims don’t realise that it is an established fact that cow’s urine and dung have property of insecticides. According to Ayurveda cow urine has many medical uses and thus Hindus consider it as a purifying and sacred thing. Hindus also treat cow as a sacred animal and call it mother cow, as entire humanity is assisted by her in so many ways. Muslims do just the opposite .They hate her urine and according to them one must kill cow and eat beef to prove that he is a true Muslim. This is what I personally observed during 1947, after creation of Pakistan. There are so many social practices in Muslim community, which are not only different, but exactly opposite to what we the Hindus have. The worst thing is that they do not believe in logic and reasoning and do not tolerate any view other than Islam. Whenever they get power or gain majority in population, they eliminate non-Muslims. This is what they have been doing in the past as well as today.
