Intro : An evening echoing the sound of Vande Mataram till the late hours in the Jawaharlal Nehru University campus of Delhi on August 28, welcoming more than 1000 freshers to their new academic journey.

Perhaps this is one of the best and memorable freshers welcome a student of any Bharatiya Universities can expect. An evening echoing the sound of Vande Mataram till the late hours in the Jawaharlal Nehru University campus of Delhi was witnessed on August 28 when more than 1,000 freshers were welcomed to their new academic journey. To name a few in the big league; Kiren Rijiju, Minister of State for Home Affairs, Manoj Tiwari, Member of Parliament from North East Delhi.
My Home India, has organised “One Bond-One India” a programme dedicated to the young minds and fresh batch of students at the Jawaharlal University Campus, Delhi.
The  programe unveils with the colourful folk dance performances of Tripura, Assam and Manipur and rock band performance and many more. In continuation of executing the cultural diversity of North-East Bharat Sunil Deodhar, founder of My Home India, speaker for the event begin his key note address. In his statement, Deodhar recalled the unsung brave freedom fighters of North-East, Rani Gaidinliu from Manipur and U Kiang Nangbah from Meghalaya. He also expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for commemorating the sacrifice of this great freedom fighter by coining her face in a five rupee coin recently. Deodhar has concluded his words by appealing to the students to maintain the bond of brotherhood in the great university campus reminding to implement the Bharatiya value of Atithi Devo Bhava for the native people too.
Kiren Rijiju, addressed the young minds from the chair of chief guest. In his key note address he complemented the good work done by My Home India and thanked the entire team for this initiative where Government of Bharat should have taken steps long back. In the same area government is announcing many schemes and projects to bring North-East step forward with the entire nation.
Manoj Tiwari was the honourable guest of honour for the event. He addressed the freshers in his own unique style which grabbed the attention of the audience. Relating his own student life Manoj Tiwari mentioned about the commitment and responsibility of a student to achieve the larger goal of his and his parents dreams.
The National Secretary of My Home India, KG Suresh summed up the theme and objective of the event and thanked the entire audience and honourable guests for making this very first event a huge successful at JNU campus.
