The Swadeshi Sangam organised in Jaipur by Swadeshi Jagran Manch (SJM) from October 10 to 12 has appealed to the countrymen to unitedly oppose the anit-people policies of globalisation and use only Swadeshi products in their daily life. The Swadeshi thinkers assembled at the Sangam termed Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) as dangerous for the nation and appealed to the government to specifically refrain FDI in Agriculture, Trade, Commerce, Insurance, Defence and the service sectors. They stressed on the need for cultural, technological and economic nationalism to protect the country from all such dangers.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajasthan Governor, Shri Kalyan Singh said, poverty would not be eradicated just by shouting slogan rather it needs concrete and honest steps. Despite disastrous effects of GM crops, their trials are being permitted. Shri Kashmirilal expressed concern over the permission for the foreign seeds in the country. National president of Traders organisation, Shri Shyam Bihari Mishra said “A major part of our earning is going to the foreign countries.” n?
