News Round-up: Book on Shrikant Joshi

Book on Shrikant Joshi

RSS Sarkaryvah Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi released a book on the life of former veteran Pracharak the late Shrikant Joshi. The book, Shrikant Joshi: Dhyeynishtha Jeevan, has been written by Shri Atul Gore, editor of Swadesh. The function was jointly organised by the Hindusthan Samachar and the Swadesh Group on September 29 in Delhi.
Speaking on the occasion Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi said the life of Shrikantji was like a lotus—spotless. He said the entire life of Shrikantji was dedicated to the nation and whatever responsibility he was given he held that with full commitment and dedication. Shrikantji was first Prachar Pramukh of RSS and held that responsibility with full responsibility. “He owned the responsibility spreading the Sangh work in north-eastern areas when there were least means of communication and transportation. Similarly he revived the Hindusthan Samachar with equal commitment and dedication. He worked for the objective journalism. Union Minister for Steal and Mines Shri Narendra Tomar said the personality of Shrikantji had the quality to attract and impress people. Presiding over the function RSS Uttar Kshetra Sanghachalak Dr Bajranglal Gupt said Shrikantji lived a simple and meaningful life.

Good samskars can only curb addiction —Mohan Bhagwat

“The problem of environment degradation and addiction can be arrested only by imparting good samskars and inculcating good values among children. But it will prove hugely costly to continue waiting for the government to introduce the value based education.
Need of the hour is that we should ourselves think of it,” said RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat, while speaking at a function organised in Amritsar on September 26. The function was organised by Madhavrao Mule Trust.
Shri Bhagwat further said earlier story telling was the medium to impart good samskars to the children. But today that tradition has weakened drastically and its consequences are before all of us. “We need to teach our children right from the childhood how to protect the environment and how to stay away from any kind of addiction. We all know that children are future of the country and before shaping the future of the country we have to impart good samskars to our children,” Shri Bhagwat added.
He said Madhav Rao Muleji dedicated his life for the nation because he loved both the country and the countrymen. Shri Bhagwat also congratulated the nation on the success of Mangalyan and said the scientists have made the country proud.
Presiding over the function Shri Rajkumar Gupta narrated some reminiscences related to the life of Madhavrao Muleji. He told how he rescued lakhs of Hindus from Rawalpindi and Lahore during the Partition and provided the relief when they came to India.
National convener of Hindu Jagran Manch Shri Ashok Prabhakr, Kshetra Pracharak Shri Rameshwar, Prant Pracharak Shri Kishorkant, Sah Prant Pracharak Shri Pramod Kumar, were also present on the occasion.

RSS congratulates scientists for Mangalyaan

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh congratulated the scientists of ISRO for their remarkable achievement in making Mars Orbit Mission (MOM) a success in the maiden attempt and the government for its unconditional support and encouragement. “At this proud moment on behalf of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) we would like to extend our hearty congratulations,” said Dr Manmohan Vaidya, Akhil Baratiya Prachar Pramukh of RSS, in a press statement. “By becoming the first country in the world to make it to Martian orbit in the very first attempt, Bharat scripted history. With the success of Mangalyaan, Bharat joins Russia, US and European Union. Mangalyaan moved a step closer to Mars and made us all proud by becoming the first nation in Asia to reach Mars. A time when the whole world has its focus on Bharat, this great achievement marks another milestone in the path of glory,” said Dr. Vaidya.
