Readers’ Forum: Discourse Correction in History

Organiser, 10. 8 . 2014); This refers to the editorial ‘Discourse Correction in History’ in Organiser. There is no doubt that our entire History as taught to students has been completely polluted with lies by the so-called Liberals , Leftist and Seculars of Gandhian variety. Even Gandhi who chanted the name of Sri Ram did not believe in the historical existence of Sri Ram and Lord Krishna, but used them as a tool to befool the Hindus and create followers . A few days back I happened to see the History and Civics for 7th Class by Chandan Sarkar, a textbook of my granddaughter for ICSE. On page 7 it is mentioned that “Islam is one of the three world’s religions. The other two are Christianity and Buddhism.” Which means that hundred crore Hindus do not exist in this world. On page 9, 10 and 11he says that “Islam emphasis equality and brotherhood” and “ Arabs moved to other countries for trade and wherever they went they gathered knowledge and spread it far and wide.”Thus telling the lies to hide the sins and crimes of Muslims, who burnt libraries , destroyed temples and slaughtered millions and millions of Hindus and did not even spare even small babies , children , women and unarmed civil population.

What was wrong in his statement?

RSS Sarsanghchalak Shri Mohan Bhaghwat did not say anything wrong in his recent statement given in Odisha. According to him if America is for Americans, Britain is for Britishers, why can’t the name of India be changed to Bharat? Why can’t all citizens of this country be called Bharatiyas? Hue and cry was raised on his statement by the pseudo secularists. All nations in the world except India are proud of their people by calling themselves as per their identity. One of the most ancient country in the world which was originally called as Bharat is being today called as India. At least its name should be changed to Bharat and people living in it should be called as Bharatwasis and not Indians.

Wrong Signals

The reason Bharatiyas have voted for a strongman like Shri Narendra Modi is to bring fresh reforms and alleviate the suffering of the middle and the poor class reeling under inflation and have endured misrule for long time . He has to stabilise a fragile economy and set right his own house before visiting neighbouring and foreign countries. A dynamic leader like Shri Narendra Modi’s presence is very important for his Cabinet colleagues look up to him for guidance. He should concentrate on economic growth, job creation and lowering inflation in his own country first rather than improving foreign relations. His absence in the country will slow down progress and the implementation of the promises which he has made to country men.

Promote Sanskrit

(Organiser, 17.8.2014); Apropos to the article ‘Promote Sanskrit’ by Vachaspati P Nandkumar in Organiser. The CBSE’s circular that the schools affiliated to it shall observe ‘Sanskrit Week’ between August 7 and 13 is taken objection to by the Dravidian parties in Tamil Nadu. When Sanskrit was deleted as subject of choice in the CBSE schools, a PIL was filed in the Supreme Court against that withdrawal. The argument of the then government was that if Sanskrit is to be allowed as an optional subject so should Persian and Arabic be. The Supreme Court took serious objection to placing Sanskrit on the same pedestal as the two foreign languages Arabic and Persian. The Supreme Court held that Sanskrit is the vehicle of India’s culture and it is a legacy and that Sanskrit is the mother of almost all languages in the country. It ordered the restoration of Sanskrit as a subject of choice in the CBSE schools. The Dravidian parties would not have objected if the CBSE schools are to celebrate Arabic or a Persian week in the hope that a particular religious community in India will be pleased. Our country’s tragedy is that we have far too many RNIs i.e., Resident Non Indians, fitting the description of Lord Macaulay who wanted that by doing away with the Indian system of education and introducing the western education, there would be in India a class of people who are only in colour and blood Indian but in all other aspects unIndian.
