undefinedEXPRESSING grave concern over the violence in and around Muzaffarnagar in recent past, noted religious and spiritual guru and founder of Vishwa Jagruti Mission Acharya Sudhanshu Maharaj held the politics of power responsible for the mindless violence.
Addressing a gathering in Deoband on November 13 he said politics of power creates divisions in the society, bring separateness, and initiate violence. He said India has been the country of sages, saints and sufis since the hoary past. The saints spread the message of love, harmony and peace to keep the society together. This is their peculiarity for which the entire society pays respects to them.
Worried over the daily outbursts in media about Asaram Bapu, he declined to comment saying that such a comment would be inappropriate at this hour when the case is subjudice. After the court verdict on this issue any comment could be made, he added.
Born in Haripur, a small village in Saharanpur district Sudhanshu Maharaj founded the Vishwa Jagruti Mission in Delhi on March 24, 1991 to create awareness on religious and social fronts through discourses. He appealed to the people to forget all the bitterness and separatist feelings and create an atmosphere of mutual trust, harmony, love and brotherhood to live a peaceful life. This alone can make the nation and society strong and vibrant, he added.
Acharya Sudhanshu Maharaj said that we should come forward to serve the needy leaving our ego and pride. Human beings have two hands but God has thousand hands and He gives with those thousand hands. His grace could be achieved by leading a life of simplicity and austerity. He explained that the flow of water is always straight but the river is always meandering. Similarly, the sugarcane is twisted at several points but the juice is a straight flow. Likewise, the human body is contorted but the spirit is straight. He said that with simplicity human beings can achieve the highest bliss in the life. He said that the true saints always inspire men to dedicate themselves to the service of the society and realise the highest bliss in the life.
Talking to Organiser after his discourse Sudhanshu Maharaj said that time is changing now. Referring to a constable who was taking notes of his discourse he said this was not so in the past. He expressed displeasure on the move of the government to monitor the movements of sadhus and saints. He was apprehensive of what would happen in coming couple of months.
Referring to Deoband, he said this place has been the place of learning since the early days. This centre has been spreading knowledge and culture among the people and was known to the world outside. That’s why people of Deoband are good people. Deoband always honoured the sadhus and saints. He thanked the conveners of the programme. He was given a rousing reception by the hundreds of people including Gurukul Vidyapeeth and Yogashram principal Swami Shantanu Maharaj, Ashok Gupta of Shri Panchayat Thakur Dwar Sabha, Convener Mahendra Pal Kamboj, SDM Rajesh Kumar Singh, Manoj Agrawal, Vinod Prakash Gupta, Rajpal Chaudhary and others.
