“India needs to adopt a human-centric and nature-friendly model of development if we really wish to ensure all-round development of the countrymen. This is where we have lacked the most so far and this is where we must pay attention without wasting more time,” said noted thinker and ideologue Shri KN Govindacharya while speaking at a function organised by Save Democracy Front in New Delhi on July 20.

Shri Govindacharya added that the prime motive of politics should be to ensure that even the last person of the society enjoys the fruits of development. He called upon the people to formulate plans according to the changing time and needs and said they should be ready to teach a lesson to the political parties too.

Describing the political parties as ‘nothing just match-fixing’, former Union Minister Shri Arif Mohammad Khan questioned that if a voter can complain against a shopkeeper, service provider or a company against any damaged product service, then why can’t the same voter can file a case against the political party to whom he/she casts his/her vote. He said during the last 15-20 years, just the names of political parties or the names of candidates have changed, but their policies remained the same.

Former MP from Jharkhand Shri Salkhan Murmu said the nation of freedom fighters’ dreams can only be made by good neta, niti and ranniti. Former Lokyukta of Karnataka Justice (retd) Santosh Hegde and leader of the Progressive Party Shri Jagdish Mamgai also spoke on the occasion. Dr Jai Prakash Narayan said the economically deprived people are only considered nothing but a vote bank in the country today.
