Congress too had opposed Article 370 in Constituent Assembly—LK Advani

‘Jammu-Kashmir ki Ankahi Kahani’ released

“Certain Congress leaders had vehemently opposed the Article 370 in the Constituent Assembly and they were of the opinion as that of the BJP today,” said veteran BJP leader Shri LK Advani while releasing a book, Jammu-Kashmir ki Ankahi Kahani, in New Delhi on July 6. Written by Dr Kuldip Agnihotri, the book was published by Prabhat Prakashan, New Delhi. RSS Sahsarkaryavah Shri Dattatreya Hosabale was also present on the occasion.

Shri Advani pointed out that the late Jawaharlal Nehru after finalising the Article 370 with Sheikh Abdullah had approached the then Leader of the Congress, Gopalswamy Ayangar, and had requested him to propose the Article in the Constituent Assembly, as he was about to travel abroad. Shri Advani said when the proposal was made, many leaders of the Congress had vehemently opposed it and had even termed it as a joke. Those Congress leaders had then said that the same provisions that were made for the other 564 princely states should also be made for Jammu & Kashmir and not any separate or special provision for it.

Shri  Dattatreya Hosabale stressed the need to see the issue of Jammu & Kashmir away from Nehru’s perspective. Many people raised lot of hue and cry over Advaniji’s blog on Article 370 but the same individuals are silent on reservations not being provided to the SC/STs in Jammu & Kashmir and several welfare measures not being implemented in the state. He said the people of the country also need to know the truth of Syama Prasad Mookerjee’s mysterious death.

Author of the book Dr Agnihotri said the then prominent political party of Jammu & Kashmir, the Praja Parishad, had organised a historical agitation over several issues in 1950s. During that agitation several thousands satyagrahis were imprisoned and 15 of them fell to the bullets of the police and attained martyrdom. Chairman of J&K Study Center Jawahar Lal Kaul proposed a vote of thanks. The present chief of the Praja Parishad, Shri Bhagwat Swarup was also felicitated by Shri Advani at the function.

 ‘Vivekananda ke Sapno ka Bharat’ released

Leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Smt Sushma Swaraj released a book, Vivekananda ke Sapno ka Bharat, in New Delhi on July 10. The book has jointly been written by noted economist and Uttar Kshetra Sanghachalak of RSS Dr Bajaranglal Gupt and Shri Lakshmi Narayan Bhala of Hindusthan Samachar multi lingual news agency. The book was published by Prabhat Prakashan, New Delhi. Secretary of Ramskrishna Mission, Delhi Swami Shantatmananda was also present on this occasion. The book is a compilation of the commentaries of Swami Vivekananda on various topics. It explains what type of India Swamiji had dreamt of.

Smt Sushma Swaraj gave various useful insights from the book and said Swamiji said Indians lack the spirit of organisation, and it needs to be imbibed in them. Swamiji asked people to have high goals but at the same time he warned them not to “day-dream” but to have “divine-dreams”. Quoting the book she explained how Narendranath (Vivekananda) asked the disciples of Shri Ramakrishna that if they wanted to become yogi in true sense then first tour all over the country and feel the misery and pain of the Mother India and her sons; then only they can be of any use to the society.

Swami Shantatmananda said Swami Vivekananda was completely possessed by the idea of India, and for him spirituality was the uniqueness of India. Swami Vivekananda said India’s future is glorious only if its efforts are based on spirituality. Swami Shantatmananda said in philosophy we Indians talk of unity and brotherhood but in practice we crush those who are weaker or below to us. In the last 20 years we have progressed a lot but the gap between rich and poor has only widened. Vivekananda wanted the whole nation to work for the service of the nation.

Shri Lakshminarayan Bhala said the lack of tenacity is the biggest problem with Indians. “Today we all are in the situation of dilemma. We need to follow Swamiji today. In the past Veer Savarkar, Netaji Bose, Dr Hedgewar etc were on the same path which Vivekananda asked the Indians to follow,” he said.

A mirror of ancient scientific tradition

India has been a leader in every type of technology. There is a need to bring forth all the facts related to it so that the young generation can move forward with greater speed,” said former Union HRD Minister Dr Murli Manohar Joshi. He was releasing a book on ancient Indian scientific traditions in New Delhi on July 7. The book, Jayatu Bharatam, has been written by Shri Tilakraj Kataria. It has been published by Vishwa Hindi Sahitya Parishad. VHP patron Shri Ashok Singhal and Uttar Kshetra Sanghachalak Dr Bajranglal Gupt were also present on the occasion. Senior journalist Shri Devendra Swarup presided the function. Dr Joshi described the book just a ‘trailer, and said the complete picture of the great scientific tradition of the country is yet to come. “Today the parameter of a developed country is how much steal a country has. In India, the iron technology was very highly developed. The Iron Pillar in Qutub Minar is 2000 years old. Taj Mahal is called a wonder, then why this Pillar is not a wonder? Fact is that India was ahead in many of the areas but we have ourselvers forgotten that treasure of knowhow. We need to bring these facts so that young generation can draw inspiration,” he added.

Shri Ashok Singhal stressed the need to work for restoring nation as a Hindu nation. He said if Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple is reconstructed, that pride of the nation will be restored. Introducing his book Shri Tilakraj Kataria said the book was written keeping in view the young generation. He said the book is based on ancient scientific traditions of India.

Book on the life of the late Sangh workers

Senior journalist Shri Vijay Kumar has complied the life and work of some late Sangh workers who worked remarkably but remained unknown to majority people of the society. RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat has written the foreword of the book. The book, Jeevan Deep Jale, was released in New Delhi by VHP patron Shri Ashok Singhal and RSS Uttar Kshetra Sanghachalak Dr Bajranglal Gupt on July 5. The book has been published by Sanjivani Prakashan, New Delhi.

Releasing the book Shri Singhal said the book provides extensive information about the dedicated Sangh workers who devoted their life to the national reconstruction. Dr Bajranglal Gupt said Sangh teaches that howsoever an individual grows but he cannot be above the ideology and the goal. He said the Sangh has a mine of such workers who are working tirelessly for the nation.

Introducing the book Shri Lakshminarayan Bhala said it provides information about 186 workers who proved a milestone in the national reconstruction. He said the Sangh Prachraks never claim the credit for any work. In such a situation it is very difficult for one to collect information about them. Shri Vijay Kumar said the book has the information about both the Pracharaks and Grahstha workers.
