All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC) has warned the government of a fresh agitation if it tries to dilute the proposed Kashmir Temple Bill which is under consideration with the Select Committee of State Legislative Assembly.
In a joint statement issued recently the APMCC leaders Vinod Pandit, Chairman and King Bharati, National Spokesperson threatened that their organisation has already warned of Kafan Yatra from Kashmir to Kanya Kumari if the government tries to dilute the Kashmir Temple Bill in any way.
The leaders said that they have reports that some influential people are trying to exclude some of the temples from the purview of the Bill besides diluting it in other forms adding the Bill must include all the temples of Kashmir Valley besides constitution of managing committees at tehsil level instead of district level.
The leaders also said that the proposed managing committees and the main managing committee must have only Kashmiri Hindu members adding like Muslim Waqf Board or Shri Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee the religious matters of Hindus should remain with the Hindus only.
Vinod Pandit, Chairman, APMCC while elaborating on the issue said that some vested interests played a role during last Assembly session sending the Bill to select committee adding now it won’t be tolerated anymore threatening that he can go on fast unto death once again if government plays any dirty game.
King Bharati, National spokesperson, APMCC, while criticising the people with vested interests said that any attempt to dilute the essence of the Bill will be fought tooth and nail adding any deletion of some temples on the behest of influential people would result into another nationwide agitation adding this time round it will be the mother of all agitations beginning with Kafan Yatra from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
He reminded the government of the famous Porbandar agitation of APMCC where Vinod Pandit had gone for 15-day long fast unto death in support of 6-point charter of demands. Bharati warned the government of not testing the patience of Kashmiri Hindus anymore least they are forced to come out on streets against it.
