National Executive Meeting of Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh in Jamshedpur
The National Executive of Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh has decided to observe Guruvandan function across the country on Guru Purnima. The function to be conducted every year will be organised by all the organisations affiliated to the Mahasangh. The decision to this effect was taken at Jamshedpur on June 9. The topic for this year’s celebration is Eternal Values of Life. A total of 88 delegates from 16 states participated in the meeting.
In Guruvandan functions, a lecture series will be organised highlighting the values of great Guru Parampara of the country. The objective of the functions is also to impart the values of rich Indian tradition into both the teachers and the students. The topic for the awareness drive for the year 2013-14 will also be Eternal Values of Life. “It is an endeavour to restore the Indian values, degeneration to which is seen everywhere today in the country. The campaign will prove to be a big contribution in enriching the great Indian traditions,” said Mahendra Kapur, organising secretary of the Mahasangh.
RSS Akhil Bharatiya Sah Sampark Pramukh Shri Arun Kumar exposed three myths about Jammu & Kashmir. He said the centre of problem there is not Kashmir but the brain of the rulers, bureaucrats and so-called intellectuals sitting in Delhi. Earlier on June 7, the national executive meeting of primary wing of the Mahasangh was also organised under the chairmanship of national vice president Shri Govind Tewari. Week long Durga Vahini training camp
Goddess Durga is a shakti punj, so is the Durga Vahini. Women are the base of our culture. To make the country strong, all-round development of women is very important for which DurgaVahini is contributing a lot,” said Sadhvi Deepika Bharati of Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan, while addressing the valedictory function of Durga Vahini’s week long training camp in Delhi on June 16. A total of 103 trainees underwent training at the camp which began on June 9. The four-day camp of Matri Shakti also began at the same venue on June 16. More than three dozen women, above the age of 35 years, underwent training at the camp.
Highlighting the need of the camp, State convener of Durga Vahini Sushri Sanjana Chaudhary said the aim is to make the girls fearless. She said the camp became more important due to the growing atrocities against women even in the national capital. Head of the training camp Smt Nutan Jain said thousands of rupees are being spent by girls in Delhi for self-defence and other personality development training, but we in Durga Vahini successfully teach more beyond it in a short span of a week. During the camp the inmates were also awakened on different topics like first aid, love jihad, terrorism, social evils, Swadeshi, teenaged problems and their solutions, satsang, etc.

First Year Sangh Shiksha Varga concludes in Delhi
“Sangh Shiksha Varga is a mahayajna of education and training, which inculcates a sense of discipline and respect towards Indian culture into young swayamsevaks. By educating children at the very young age only we can instill in them the spirit of patriotism,” said the RSS Akhil Bharatiya Sah Bauddhik Pramukh Shri Mahavir, while speaking at the concluding ceremony of a 20 day Sangh Shiksha Varga (first year) in New Delhi on June 15. Former IAS officer Shri Dinesh Tyagi presided over the function. Delhi Prant Sanghachalak Shri Kulbhushan Ahuja and Sahprant Sanghachalak Dr Shyam Sundar Agrawal also shared the dais.
Shri Mahavir further said the Indian ancient education system stressed on moral education and preached for universal brotherhood, but after the Independence the rulers changed the direction and objective of the education system. He said through the Sangh Shiksha Varga the Sangh tries to continue that old heritage of India. Drawing attention to the problems like Naxalism and December 16 gang rape case of Delhi, he said such menaces cannot be curbed unless the children are imparted proper cultural education. The Varga began on May 26 and a total of 244 swayamsevaks were imparted training. The trainees included businessmen, professionals and students. About 70 such camps were held all over the country this year in which 18,000 trainees received training. Presiding over the function Shri Dinesh Tyagi said future of India is bright in the hands of energetic youth only. He said the villages need to be exposed to new technology, which can bring a silent revolution in the country.

Shri Ram Gopalan of Hindu Munnani has demanded a thorough probe into the jehadi network behind women trafficking in Tamil Nadu. In a press statement recently, he warned that trafficking of women in the State was a conspiracy of jehadis and without the influence of politicians and money power such acts were not possible. He insisted that the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu should order for a thorough probe into such acts with the assistance of Interpol and Centre-State Intelligence agencies.
In a recent case, a minor girl, native of Mehboob Nagar in Andhra Pradesh, was sold for30,000. According to police, the minor girl was believed to have been sent with Pon Kamaraj, Thuraiyur Panchayat Union Chairman and AIADMK union secretary, in a car from Salem. The 17-year old girl was confined to a rented house where she was subjected to sexual harassment by three persons. The girl escaped from the house and raised an alarm. The Cantonment Police booked a case under various IPC sections including 376 (rape) and 365 (kidnap or abduction) besides Sections 4, 6, 8 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act. Pon Kamaraj and Dharmar were later remanded in judicial custody. Days after, a special police team arrested a five-member gang including a Bangladesh national, on charges of abduction, rape and trafficking. (VSK Chennai)
A condolence meeting was held at the Kesava Memorial College in Hyderabad on June 13 to pay tribute to senior Pracharak D Dwarakacharyulu, who passed away on May 30 after prolonged illness. Several Sangh functionaries and swayamsevaks recalled their memories with him. He was a mentor to most of the speakers and because of that they are able to shoulder the present responsibilities in the Sangh with confidence and ability.
Kshetra Sanghachalak Shri Deshmukh said Dwaraka-charyulu belonged to the rare category of people who exhibited great leadership qualities and moulded swayam-sevaks, showed direction and exercised tremendous impact on them by inculcating qualities of service and dedication. He also recalled the services rendered by him in rehabilitation of thousands of cyclone affected people at Krishna District region of Andhra Pradesh during 1977.
Many senior Sangh functionary including Shri Vidwan Reddy, VHP leader Shri Ganeshlal, senior RSS functionary Dr A Subrahmanyam, Shri Ramesh Babu, national organising secretary of Kalyan Shri Somayajulu also spoke on the occasion. Message from RSS Sarkaryavah Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi was also read out at the meeting.
