THE Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has taken strong exception to the attacks on Hindus in Sourth 24 Paragana district of West Bengal and urged the state government to tackle the issue with iron hand and behave in an impartial manner.

In a press note released on February 21 in Kolkata, RSS Prant Karyavah Dr Tilakranjan Bera said: The RSS takes strong exception to the massive attack on Hindus in person and their property in different areas of South 24 Paraganas district today. The condition of about 750 Hindu families in Nadiakhali area under Canning PS is severely serious and tragic. The attack is not only condemnable but highlights the lethal consequence of indulging in appeasement of the fanatic class amongst the Muslim community by the respective state and central government.

We have seen the daylight murder of an on-duty police officer in a Muslim dominated area of Kolkata a few days back and the same have been repeated today where one SI Anup Samadder of Canning PS is admitted in hospital with severe injuries. Another CRPF Jawan Sanjay Singh was also attacked. The government must tackle with iron hand and behave in an impartial manner. The loss of Hindu property should also be adequately compensated. The RSS also condemns the murder of Muslim cleric yesterday and demand proper punishment to the perpetrators. The state government should also take note of the fact that how come so many people were mobilised from different areas to attack the Hindus. The media have also failed to highlight the plight of Hindus so far. This is also condemnable. The Hindus  should also introspect their position and the ghastly act of Muslim centric appeasement policy of different political parties.”
