Proposing a bill to prevent bribe in Pvt sector

Economic Cell of BJP has decided to present a bill, Prevention of Bribery in Private /NGO Sector Bill, Floating Warrant and Coal Scam Revelations, in the coming session of Lok Sabha. The Draft Bill will be presented by Leader of Opposition Smt Sushma Swaraj as a private member Bill.

The Economic Cell organised a symposium in New Delhi on the Draft Bill. BJP spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said the natural resources are being exploited by corrupt coalition of government and private sector. Shri C Rajshekhar said corruption is a big issue and the mass movement building against the menace is a welcome sign.

National Convener of the Cell Shri Gopal K Agarwal, who is also co-author of the Draft Bill, elaborated on the concept of floating warrant. “When the identity of the culprit is unknown we can issue a floating warrant against him and based on this warrant, the person whose account is in foreign country and his identity is unknown can be declared as offender. This warrant gets fixed on the person at a date when his identity becomes known,” he said.

MP from Vidarbha, Shri Hansraj Ahir, who wrote eight letters to Prime Minister on coal scam, but when there was no action, this forced him to approach CVC and later on the CAG, presented a detailed report on the scam. He said the government manipulated the policy of captive Coal Mines allocations. Allocation to 156 companies was not right as these companies transferred it to third parties. He said about Rs 51 lakh crores’ coal block were allocated free of cost.

ABVP national organising secretary Shri Sunil Ambekar spoke on the activities of the Youth Against Corruption. He outlined the resolve of the organisation to take it to the logical conclusion. More than 400 people from all walks of financial and business world attended the symposium.                     (FOC)
