Audio CD on RSS founder Dr Hedgewar

Fill the entire nation with ‘Keshav Rasa’

— Mohan Bhagwat?

$img_title“Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar founded the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) with a certain motive and vision. Now the time has come to realise his vision of organising the good and virtuous people of the society to make Bharatmata the world leader once again. In this endeavor CDs like ‘Keshav Shatak’ will prove to be instrumental in arousing the innate strength of good people inspiring them to tread the path shown by Dr Hedgewar,” observed RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat in Nagpur on March 29.

He was speaking after the ceremonial release of the audio CD ‘Keshav Shatak’, a composition by senior RSS Pracharak Shri Lakshmi Narayan Bhala ‘Animesh’ at the Scientific Society Auditorium. ‘Keshav Shatak’ is a poetic tribute paid to RSS founder Dr Hedgewar by way of 101 couplets of 28 poems beautifully composed by Shri Bhala who is popularly known amongst his surroundings as ‘Lakhhida’. It was first published by Burra Bazaar Kumarsabha Pustakalaya, Kolkatta, in 1989 during the centenary celebrations of Dr Hedgewar.
The CD, Keshav Shatak Swaranjali, has been produced by Sanskar Bharati, Jaipur under the music direction of Padmakar Mishra. Sankalp Dalvi shouldered the responsibility of music composer, whereas Shekhar Sen, Shailesh Mavinkurve, Sanjay Pandit, Archana Vyankatesh, Mala Solanki and Kshitij Bagait have sung the songs.

Shri Bhagwat said the CD has not been made just for entertainment, it is intended to be used as an inspirational tool to initiate the noble mission of filling the entire nation with the ‘Keshav Rasa’. The time has come to fulfill the objective and purpose for which Dr Hedgewar started the RSS 87 years ago, he said making a fervent appeal to the swayamsevaks and others to engage full throttle in this mission.

Throwing light on the role of swayamsevaks under such situations, he said that the swayam (the self) of a swayamsevak is groomed in such a way that he follows the path of his own intuition. He doesn’t get distracted and is well prepared to face any kind of extreme situation. There is not a single word of frustration in the speeches of Dr Hedgewar. His speeches always were full of untameable confidence. This confidence is reflected in RSS swayamsevaks today and because of this confidence he has become as strong as ‘rust proof iron’, he said. He doesn’t get distracted and is well prepared to face any kind of extreme situation. Stating that the RSS is all the more relevant in present times Shri Bhagwat exhorted the swayamsevaks to prepare to make it stable and deep rooted in the society.

Sanskar Bharati Akhil Bharatiya joint general secretary Prof Ganeshpant Rode, in his presidential address, took a detailed account of Dr Hedgewar’s life and highlighted the objectives of Sanskar Bharati. In the beginning, poet Laxminarayan Bhala ‘Animesh’ threw light upon the background behind composing these lyrics. Singer Sanjay Pandit left the audience spell bound by presenting the song ‘Dekho Shubh Din Aaya’ in a classical bandish style. In Delhi, the CD is available at Suruchi Prakashan, Jhandewalan for Rs 150/- only.
