Akhil Bharatiya Karyakarta meeting of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram was held in Jashpur Nagar from February 22 to 26. A total of 118 selected activists from different parts of the country attended the meeting. The meeting discussed in detail the strategy to spread the work in border areas of Ladakh, J&K, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. The meeting also decided to expand the service activities in Meghalaya, Assam, Sikkim, Bastar (Chhattisgarh), Arkuvally in Andhra Pradesh and the areas of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka.

Some changes in the Karyakari Mandal also took place at the meeting. The new Karyakari Mandal has Shri Jagdevram Oraon (president), Shri Jaleshwar Brahma and Shri Kripa Prasad Singh (vice presidents), Shri Gunwant Singh Kothari (general secretary), Shri Chandrakant Dev (joint general secretary), Shri Arjundas Khatri (treasurer), Shri Somyajulu (organising secretary), Dr PD Sapre, Shri Atul Jog, Shri SN Mathur, Smt Madhvi Joshi and Smt Nilima Patte (members).
