Broadmindedness, largeheartedness, long- sightedness, benevolence and such other faculties of human nature are always appreciated and praised even by the opponents of the person.
Similarly we appreciate the big size of the fruits, trees, houses, buildings, forests, agricultural farms, institutions, factories, ships, aeroplanes and animals like elephants, horses of high breed, bullocks, cows, buffalows etc etc. But see the travesty that big country, big state, big commissionery, big district, big tehsil, big pargana, big bloc, big panchayat and even big family are propagated as the very enemy of the development and progress. They are alleged to be the biggest and the only hindrance in the way of marching forward. What a pity! What an insolvency of wisdom! Those who suggest and advocate for smaller states are none else but most selfish, greedy, ambitious, frogminded and frustrated politicos who have lost every hope to become the Chief Minister of their present day state may it be Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal or Assom or any other one.
There is no doubt if Telangana is created, it will stir up a hornet’s nest. Who can say that the demands for Vidarbha in Maharashtra, Saurashtra in Gujarat, Mysore and Kurg in Karnataka, Travancore and Kochin in Kerala, Madhya Bharat in Madhya Pradesh, Matsya Pradesh in Rajasthan, Bhojpur and Mithila in Bihar, Gorkhaland in W. Bengal, Bodoland in Assom, Royal Seema in remaining Andha Pradesh will not take a fiery shape within no time? Who can say that demands for carving out states like Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Vijaywada, Kolkata and such others on the pattern of Delhi will not arise sooner or later.
Let us first take the demand for a separate state of Telangana to be carved out from today’s Andhra Pradesh. This demand is due to the frustration of a person who has done all sort of acrobatics to become the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and failed miserably. Here one may recollect what had been the condition of the people living in Hyderabad State of the Nizam. It consisted of 16 districts viz Aurangabad, Nanded, Usmanabad, Parbhani, Beed (now in Maharashtra), Gulbarga, Raichur, Bidar (now in Karnataka), Karimnagar, Aadilabad, Nizamabad, Medak, Mehboobnagar, Nalgonda, Varangal and Khammam.The area of last eight districts is called Telangana. After the surrender of the last Nizam Mir Usman Ali and merger of the state in Indian Union ie Bharat due to ‘Police Action’ taken by Sardar Patel, Hyderabad state remained the same under the Nizam as Raj Pramukh and later on Nizam was ousted and one Subba Rao was made the Chief Minister. After the long fast of Ramulu and his death due to that fast, Pt. Nehru accepted the demand to form new state as per the resolution once passed by the Congress. Thus new state of Andhra Pradesh was established in the present form and T Prakasham was made its first Chief Minister after whose name today’s Prakasham district got its nomenclature. As regards backwardness of the area, it is nothing but a lame and concocted plea, propagated by the vested interests. It is to be remembered, if Telangana is carved out of Andhra it will be the revival of Nazamshahi alongwith Razakari. No Naidu, no Rao, no Reddy will be allowed to become the Chief Minister and if no Qasim Rizvi or Layaq Ali is today, an Ovaisy is there. Later on it is possible to get back 5 districts of Marathwada from Maharashtra and 3 districts from Karnataka a very ferocious movement is launched by anti-national forces. Thus, all the mischief mongers will try their best to undone the Patel’s most patriotic action with that of the sacrifice of the late Ramulu.

The present day Chief Minister of UP has thrown a big stone in a vast and calm lake by proposing to partition Uttar Pradesh in four new states viz. Purvanchal, Bundelkhand, Avadh and Pashchim Pradesh in order to arouse sentiments of the innocent people for fulfilling her game-plan. It is to be mentioned here that in Purvanchal, no Amar Singh, no Yogi, no Ray, Pandey or Tiwari will be saddled as CM and a Mukhtyar Ansari or Obaidullah Aazmi will take over. Similarly in Pashchim Pradesh no Choudhari, no Gujjar, no Tyagi, Sharma or Singh will be benifited. Any Mazoor Ahmed, Madani, Kazi, or Haji is most likely to have the golden opportunity. Same may be the fate of Avadh also and Bundelkhand will go to any mafia or an ex-feudal lord and public will be crushed under his heavy boots. Recalling back, when Bundelkhand was created out of the of present time Madhya Pradesh, one Mahendra Kumar ‘Manav’ was installed as CM. But was not tolerated by such forces and he was dragged on the streets and beaten badly. Such an event cannot take place again, who will guarantee ?
There are so-called experts and intellectuals who are supporting for establishing small states as in their opinion, vastness and increasing population of the states like UP have become too difficult to develop and govern properly and effectively. Here it is to bring to the notice of such intellectuals and experts that if they have any intellect, then they should look at the map of Assom. Is it that very Assom which was at the time of Independence ? Let us revive our memory, when Fizo, the rebel Naga took to guns and tried to establish an Independent Nagaland. Our military action broke the back bone of the rebel Fizo and he had to flee to England but Pt Nehru succumbed and conceded the demand in carving out of Assom a new state Nagaland. It paved the way for others. Laul Denga took to guns for 22 years and he was not only given Mizoram but appointed the Chief Minister of the newly created state. In the same way Meghalay was framed and now Bodoland is on the anvil. The rest of the Assom is now a short statured state ready to be taken over by Bangladeshi infiltrators and league minded Muslims. Faqhruddin Ali Ahmed, Muinul Haq Chaudhary were the patrons. Nehru appointed Sir Akbar Haidery as Governor and later his daughter Indira Gandhi appointed Anvara Timur as Chief Minister just to enhance the Muslim menace. Thus Assom has been placed on a plater to Christian Missionaries and Maulanas of Jamaat-e-Islami to annihilate its Hindu population alongwith age-old culture forever.
Here one may like to quote some examples from Europe. Remember the fate of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia which lost their independence at the hands of Soviet Russia. They were very tiny countries situated in the North-East Europe. They could get rid of USSR when the same was dismembered into several new countries. See the other side of the coin. Russia was and still is the most vast country of the world stretched from Eastern Europe to the Eastern most corner of Siberia in Asia. Prior to its present map, it was spread upto Alaska now a state of USA Alaska was purchased by USA from the Zars. This vastness of Russia is very strong armour and Nepoleon Bonaparte and Adolf Hitler’s very powerful armies failed to defeat and occupy Russia. Similarly the vastness of China saved it from the Japanese occupation and Chiarg Kai Sheik succeeded to defend his country though he had to shift his capital from Peking to Nanking to Chungking.
As Bharat is still a vast enough country though at a time it was stretched from Afghanistan to Myanmar in East and from Tibet to Shrilanka in the south. This very vastness of the country saved it from being converted to Islam even in 700 years of Muslim rule in one area or the other. The present day Bharat is less vast, even then it is safe in spite of Islamic onslaught and British rule. So beware, vastness is an asset and an armour too. Let us try our best to defend and protect it with all our might. Remember please, smaller the state, bigger the danger.
