Tassile Zeliang receives Ojaswini award

Headmistress of Heraka Vidya Bharati School at Jalukie under Peren district of Nagaland was honoured with the prestigious Ojaswini Award in Bhopal on October 23. Sushri Tassile has also written a book on Rani Gaidinliu and folk tales of Nagaland.

The award was conferred by Shri Lakshmikant Sharma, Minister for Higher and Technical Education, Madhya Pradesh. Shri Sharma appreciated her contribution for national integration and in the field of literature. Thanking the organisers for the award, Sushri Tassile Zeliang invited the people to visit Nagaland during Hornbill festival to know the Naga culture. Hindi writer Smt Raja Budhiraja, Judi Fetar, an America-born sculptor running an academy in Gujarat and Smt Babli Gambhir, a physically challenged lady, were also honoured on the occasion.
