After land North-East India faces a real threat from B’desh?

On 12th October, the whole of North and North-east India was detached from the rest of country for more than twelve hours. There was no railway connection or road connection. State or Central administration was virtually absent during this period and people were left to inhuman sufferings without any remedy. It was ‘Students Islamic Forum’ who had organized a protest movement against the inaction on the part of Bihar government to establish a branch of Aligarh Muslim University at Kishengunj. Muslims of the area was on the forefront of the movement. Muslim leaders of different political parties had come together to lend their support to the movement for establishing a branch of Aligarh Muslim University.
As it is already mentioned that the movement for establishing a branch of AMU at Kishengunj has been spearheaded by Students Islamic Forum, one can easily co relate its activities with that of banned organization SIMI (Students Islamic Movement in India). So SIMI is very much active by proxy to achieve their anti-national goal.
Further, it is important to note that Kishengunj is situated on the border of Bihar, Bengal and Bangladesh with a population of basically communally biased Muslims. The place is a very narrow streak which connects south and north east India. Although this place is under Bihar, its politics is influenced by Bengal and especially they are inspired by the Maoist movement which again is driven by secessionist mentality. If they are successful in capturing this area they can easily snap the connection between North and North-East India from the rest of the country. As it is an established fact that this area of India is known as “chicken neck”, they have been nurturing many devil ideas centering this area. They have made Kishengunj a Muslim dominated zone So people could get a glimpse of unfortunate future hovering over the area. They think that the demand of establishing a branch of AMU is nothing but an excuse to divert the attention of the administration. At the heart of hearts they feel that the “Dress Rehearsal” of their future planning has been successfully performed.
By now, it has become a common knowledge that leaders of other political parties had prior information about the planning of ‘Students Islamic Forum’. Without having such knowledge, the leaders of Congress Ms. Deepa Munshi M. P. (wife of Priyaranjan Das Munshi), of Trinamool Congress state minister Abdul Karim Chowdhury, of Forward Bloc Ali Imran Ramaj M.L.A., could not have joined this movement. Media have, generally, opined that all these leaders had joined the movement just to appease the Muslims with a hidden motive of gaining the Muslim Vote Bank.
But the fact remained that Muslims were simply making these leaders and their parties fools by putting before them the legendary ‘carrot sticks’ or for that matter ‘Muslim Vote
Bank’. According to them as Nitish Kumar flagged off the Advani-Rath Yatra, his Muslim support-base had become weakened. Might be to repair this erosion of Muslim vote he might become more magnanimous towards Muslims.
Congress leader Deepa Das Munshi had her own score to be settled through this movement. She wanted that AIIMS of Delhi should establish a branch in Raigunj, under her parliamentary constituency. But it was rejected. So in a round about manner she wanted to create pressure on the state and central government so that they allow this project to them.
In this regard the nationalist elements of the country had been alerting the central and state governing for the simple reason that concentration of Muslims in a particular area had always put the nation in gruesome problems. It is high time that the government should seriously take up the issue and tackle it by keeping national interest as topmost priority. Especially they have to keep in mind that the timing of the movement was so chosen that the chief ministers of Bengal and Bihar were busy with other business to do. In this regard the pre occupations and priorities of the Central Home Minister was well known.
