Samskrit Bharati adopts modern technology to spread Sanskrit
Samskrit Bharati has decided to adopt modern technology to spread Sanskrit among the youth. The annual meeting of the organisation held in Kota, Rajasthan, from October 9 to 10, conducted detailed discussion on the issue of using the technology. A total of 211 delegates from 20 states were present at the meeting.
The workers were imparted training how to use the Wikipedia, uploading videos using YouTube, working on social sites, using the Skype for teaching groups kms away from the teacher, use of websites for selling books online, enrolling candidates for correspondence courses through website, etc. Some workers are already techno savvy because they come from technological background.
The new executive body of Samskrit Bharati known as Karya Gana, was also declared at the meeting. Prof. Chandkiran Salooja was declared national president. Dr. Nandakumar from Kerala is the new general secretary. Shri Shreesh Deopujari (Delhi) is new secretary. Shri Dinesh Kamath is organising secretary while former general secretary Shri CM Krishna Shastry will look after the publication division. Dr Vishwash from Karnataka is Shikshan Pramukh. Shri Pratapsingh, Dr Sanjeev Rai and Shri Shirish Bhedasgaonkar are members. (FOC)
