Art of Living 30th Anniversary World Cultural Festival at Berlin, Germany

A world cultural festival was held on 2nd and 3rd July in the Olympic stadium at Berlin Germany. This event was a celebration of 30th anniversary of Art of Living an international NGO with humanitarian activities in 151 countries around the world. The aim of the festival was to foster harmony in diversity and international dialogue by organising various conferences, as well as showcasing dance, music and food from around the world.

The festival brought together a diverse group of about 30,000 participants from different parts of the world. Thousands of people came from diverse countries like Argentina, South Africa, Europe, Canada, India, Israel and many Arab Countries to name a few. Leaders, peacemakers and renowned personalities created a unique platform to spread the message of world peace, unity and harmony in diversity. The guest list included several heads of governments, parliamentarians, diplomats, politicians and heads of religious organizations.

The main function was on 2nd July, where Shri Nitin Gadkari, president of BJP gave his keynote address at the valedictory session. From BJP along with the party president, Sri Gopal K Agarwal and Shri Ram das Agarwal were also invited and participated as special guests.

A spell bound performance by troupes from different countries belonging to Art of Living; included group dance, Belle performance, group Bhajans, Yoga demonstrations, Vande Mataram and mass meditations by Shri Shri. The whole Berlin was carrying flags and posters of Shri Shri Ravishankarji and the three day conclave bore a major celebration mood.

As part of international cultural dialogue program, the Bertelsmann Stufling, an International Foundation of Germany working as a political think tank invited a select few guests for an interactive dinner on 1st July. This dinner was aimed to promote understanding between Europe and Asia and to advance new vision for peace and shared progress.

The organizing committee included an impressive list of many former Prime Ministers, current Parliamentarians and carrier Diplomats from all around the world.
