Training camp of Kalyan Ashram workers engaged in rural development work

A ten-day training camp of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram workers engaged in rural development activities was organised at the Gou Vigyan Anusandhan Kendra in Nagpur. The camp was inaugurated by senior Kalyan Ashram leader and former general secretary Dr Prasanna Sapre on April 16. The Akhil Bharatiya Gram Vikas Pramukh Shri Prakash Kamath and Shri Divakar Nerkar of Gou Vigyan Kendra were also present on the occasion.

Workers from Madhya Bharat, Chhattisgarh, Odhisha, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Maharashtra underwent training at the camp. They were imparted the training in making vermi-compost, amrit pani, kamdhenu compost, bio pesticides, medicines from cow urine and many items used at home.

Agnihotra was conducted by Shri Diwakar Nerkar both in the morning and evening. It has been scientifically proved that agnihotra purifies the air in the radius of 25 acre. The training was imparted by Shri Sunil Mansinghka, Shri Suresh Dhavade, Dr Nandini Bhojraj, Shri Diwakar Nerkar, Shri Prakash Kamath, Dr Prasanna Sapre, etc. Speaking at the concluding ceremony on April 24, the Kalyan Ashram joint general secretary Shri Kripa Prasad Singh apprised the workers about the success stories of rural development.
