KANNUR: Thousands paid tribute to Rajesh, who was brutally murdered by the Marxist killing squad. His mortal remains were handed over to RSS Prant Pracharak and BJP leader K Surendran who was accompanied with hundreds of Hindu activists from Kozhikode Medical College after postmartum.His body was cremated in his house premises in front of thousands who came to pay their last respect to this brave soul who was hounded by Marxist thugs in group with lethal weapons.Rajesh, son of Ramakrishnan and Revathi was a tempo driver by profession.
Rajesh was attacked by a heavily armed gang while he was sitting in a jeep at Kunnothuparambu K Ranjith, Kannur district president of the BJP said the CPI(M) was behind the murder of Rajesh.After being struck by the killer gang, Rajesh ran away from the spot to save his life but collapsed on the ground reportedly due to excessive bleeding from the hack wounds in the head, back and legs. He was taken to Indira Gandhi Cooperative Hospital in Thalassery by a police patrol party who saw him lying on the road. Doctors at the cooperative hospital were helpless as Rajesh’s condition was critical due to the deep hack wounds and excessive bleeding. He succumbed to injuries while being taken to the Medical College Hospital, Kozhikode in the wee hours of Tuesday.
CPI(M)’s politics of terror in Kannur had started way back in 1969 when a RSS worker and tailor Vadikkal Ramakrishnan of Thalassery was killed. The next to fall victim to the daggers of Marxist terror was Panunda Chandran on September 2, 1978. Since then, hundreds of lives have been lost in the violent incidents in the district.
What is happening now in Kannur is indeed State sponsored terrorism with the the direct blessings of Home Minister who hails from this same killing field. Whole nation is discussing the ethics behind the death of terrorists like Sohrabuddin and Ishrat Jahan but no one bothers about the death of innocent Hindu youth by Marxist terrorists. (FOC)
