WHENEVER the CPM is in grave internal crisis, it hits out at its opponents-mostly the RSS, to divert public attention. After a few months of peaceful lull in the CPM-RSS killing fields of Kannur, the CPM goon-squads were at it again.

On May 28, RSS swayamsevaks and BJP office-bearers K Vijith (30) and KV Shinoj (32) were proceeding on a bike. Around 11.30 am when they reached New Mahe, Thalassery, a five-member CPM goon-gang threw country made bombs on them. The fallen men were butchered with swords and axes. They were rushed to the Kozhikode Medical College, where they were declared brought dead.

The BJP and RSS described it as a deliberate CPM move to disturb peace in the region and please the jehadi elements like NDF, SIMI, Solidarity, etc.

A waysider Sujith (34) who was witness to this brutal savagery died on the spot, of heart attack!

The CPM-controlled police tried to create trouble even during the last journey and cremation of the RSS bravos. Thousands of sympathisers rushed to Thalassery for offering Andhya Pranam. RSS leader Nandakumar, BJP president V Muraleedharan, Valsan Thillankery (living legend of RSS resistance to CPM hegemony in Kannur) were among the mass gathering. The CPM police arrested the men who had come from Iritty, Koothuparambu etc. and put them in lock-up stark naked! The BJP, RSS ocean stopped the funeral procession and staged a dharna in the middle of the road demanding immediate release of the arrested. The police had to comply. Later the bravos who upheld the Bhagwa Dhwaj in Kannur were cremated with Pranams from a sea of humanity.

The four year CPM misrule has become a burden on the people of Kerala, and they are waiting for May 2011 to throw this corrupt and discredited regime into the Arabian Sea.

Kerala, despite having high literacy rate has become the worst state due to CPM misrule. Mafias of real estate, river sand, liquor and sex rule the roost. Kerala tops national records in liquor sales, sex rackets, crimes against women, sexual abuse of children, rapes, police lock-up murders, drug and money racketting, etc.

The CPM has a big stake in the land mafia. The CPM with assets worth Rs thousand of crore is the biggest ‘Land Shark’. It has a big stake in the construction and real estate arena. Karat recently inaugurated CPM’s channel Kairali and Deshabhimani newspaper complexes in the heart of capital city, Thiruvananthapuram, worth Rs 100 crore. In Kinalur, near Kozhikode, a Nandigram/Singur model agitation took place recently, since the CPM wanted to build a 4 way road to an area where CPM big-boys have purchased huge lands near an up-coming Industrial Park.

Infighting between Chief Minister VS Atchudanandan and CPM secretary Pinarayi Vijayan has paralysed the administration. All the top IAS and IPS officers are queuing to go to Delhi. There is no co-ordination in the CPM-led LDF. Farm sector, education, etc. are in the mess. Roads have become death traps with thousands killed every year. Even in the minor issue of appointing a political secretary to the Chief Minister, there is controversy and crisis.

But unmindful of it the CPM is on a money making spree. Pinarayi Vijayan recently went to Gulf accompanied by senior IG Tomin J Thachankkery to collect fund from Kerala NRIs! Tomin is CPM’s blue eyed boy who smuggled electronic equipments for CPM’s Kairali channel.

Due to all-round pressure and the CPM’s go-slow on jehadi terror cases, all terror related cases involving ‘export of terror’ to Kashmir, role of Smt and Shri Madhani, training at Wagamon, Kozhikode blasts, recovery of explosives from various parts of Kerala have been handed over to NIA.

Now to woo the jehadi elements like NDF, SDPI, Solidarity, Jamaat-e-Islami, Sunni groups etc., the CPM is targeting RSS. Its recent attempts to take over famous Muths in Malabar are a trend in Islam pampering.

The opposite Congress front is also in deep disarray. Due to pressure from Christian Bishops, Joseph (who was with CPM) and many factions of the Kerala Congress have united. They are bargaining for more seats in the Christian belt of Central Travancore (Kottayam, Idukki and Pathanamthitta), which Congress is unwilling to give. The church wants to increase its clout by strengthening the Kerala Congress. Afraid that its Number Two position in the Congress Front will be affected, the Muslim League has started wooing jehadi outfits like Jamaat-e-Islami.

With Kerala having a 50 per cent Christian-Muslim population and both CPM and Congress pampering them, the future is very bleak for the Hindus of Kerala. The only hope is a strong, united and strengthened BJP. People have given 20 lakh votes to BJP in 2004 parliamentary polls. In a highly polarised state like Kerala, it is not a mean feat! Will the state BJP rise up to the grave threat?
