A 13-day Spoken Sanskrit Teacher Training Camp was organised by Samskrit Bharati at Sri Venkateshwara Vedanta Vardhini Sanskrit College in Secunderabad. The camp was inaugurated by Justice (retd.) Shri L Narasimha Reddy on May 9, 2010. Over 150 students from many districts of the State attended the classes for obtaining advanced training in teaching of spoken Sanskrit. After completing this course these students will go back to their respective places to teach the language with renewed confidence, enthusiasm and vigour. Speaking on the occasion justice Shri L Narasimha Reddy said the development of Telugu language was entwined with the development of Sanskrit. He was happy to note that the camp was attended by participants of wide range of age i.e. from 10 years to 70 years. Dr Lakshminathacharyulu stressed the importance of organising the camp with complete Sanskrit atmosphere which is conducive to learn the language fast. He emphasised that writing Sanskrit and speaking Sanskrit energises many nerves resulting in good health.
Director of Sri Maharshi Institute of Vedic Technology Shri A Sudhakar Shastry pointed out that for the development of science and technology, the principles of Sanskrit are very much valid even today. When he searched for a Sanskrit scientific term Rasa ratnakaram in Google, he lamented that not a single website was found in India and that 80 per cent of the sites were from Germany.
Professor in Department of Sanskrit, (OU) Dr Shashirekha lauded the efforts of Samskrit Bharati to propagate the use of Sanskrit and inculcate better culture among the people.
