THE Vishwa Hindu Parishad is expanding its base with more service projects all over the country. The organisation has done so many remarkable works for social uplift during the 46 years of its existence. All its activities have received the support and applause from the society. In the coming years we are going to start more service projects in the areas where they are required,” said Shri Champat Rai, joint general secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad. He was addressing a gathering in New Delhi.
He said the projects started by the VHP have not only transformed the lives of millions of needy people but also has given a new direction to the society. He said the VHP started multidimensional projects including rural health, first aid, computer education, rural development, environment protection, water harvesting, cow protection, hostels, etc. Shri Swadeshpal Gupta, President, Delhi VHP presided over the function. Seven Muslims from Mewat who belong to the leneage of Sri Krishna also honoured on the occasion. In Mewat there are lakhs of such Muslim families who have Indian breed cows and they are supplying thousand litres of cow milk, ghee and organic manueres to Delhi and NCR regularly. Noted cancer surgeon and Member of Delhi Legislative Assembly Dr SCL Gupta, state president of Hindu Parva Samanvya Samiti Shri Lakhiram Sharma, Shri Sunil Vashistha of Lions Club, retired IPS Shri CS Parcha and state general secretary of VHP Delhi Shri Satyendra Mohan were also present on the occasion.
