Material required
A large potato cut into half

A sharp knife

Pencil

Paper

Acrylic paints or different coloured ink pads

Method
After slicing the potato into two halves, pat it dry with a piece of cloth

Draw the outline of any shape on the cut surface of the potato. It is ideal to confine yourself to a simple shape for better results

Carefully snip off the area outside the shape drawn on the potato. In other words, cut all along the outline drawn

Pat the surface of the potato dry

Keep some coloured paint in a plate

Dip the flat surface of the shaped potato on the colour pad or on the paint in the plate and gently press the potato on the white paper

Lift the potato straight up in one go, else the paint will smudge when you press the potato on paper. A little practice will help in obtaining a good clean result.

How to use
You can paint greeting cards with the same design any number of times.
