“Feeling of oneness in the heart of national society of the country is a must for development of social harmony. Despite the presence of so many castes, ways of worship, languages and region there has always been the feeling of oneness and unity in our country. It is due to the loss of the national feeling that we remained slave for some time. Unfortunately, similar efforts aimed at dividing the society and to disturb the unity of the country are being made even today by some vested interest that needs to be given a befitting reply by all together,” said RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat. He was addressing a Sadbhavana meeting at Jwala Devi Saraswati Vidya Mandir in Prayag on January 2.
Shri Bhagwat first listened to the experiences and suggestions of the prominent leaders of several Hindu communities and then expressed his views. He said the Sangh ensures the feeling of harmony in all its activities and it has been trying to inculcate this feeling in the whole society. “It will be possible only if the people of all communities unitedly start removing the shortcomings of their own communities and work together for the betterment of other communities,” he said adding that bringing a change in our own behaviour is must for strengthening the feeling of oneness in the society. Coming down heavily on the attempts to link even the great personalities to particular communities he said the great personalities belong to the whole nation and therefore the people of all communities should celebrate their anniversaries together to strengthen the national feeling.

VHP president Shri Ashok Singhal, former Vice Chancellor of Lucknow University and Kshetra Sah-Sanghachalak Dr Devendra Prasad Singh, former chairman of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission and Kashi Prant Sanghachalak Prof. Krishna Bihari Pandey, Kshetra Karyavah Dr Ramkumar Verma, Kshetra Pracharak Shri Ashok Beri, Prant Sanghachalak Shri Shivnarayan, zonal organising secretary of Vidya Bharati Shri Shivkumar and Vibhag Pracharak Shri Arvind were also present on the occasion.
