Dr Nandita Pathak selected for Prof Yeshwantrao Kelkar Yuva Puraskar

Dr Nandita Pathak, a dedicated social worker from Deendayal Research Institute, Chitrakoot (Madhya Pradesh), has been selected for this year’s Prof. Yeshwantrao Kelkar Yuva Puraskar. The selection committee of the Puraskar selected her nomination appreciating her work done for employment generation and rural development.

The Puraskar will be presented on November 1 in the special function at 55th National Conference of ABVP to be held at Una, Himachal Pradesh from October 30 to November 1.

Prof. Yeshwantro Kelkar Yuva Puraskar was instituted in 1991 to commemorate his inspiring life. It is a joint endeavour of ABVP and Vidyarthi Nidhi Trust. The objective is to encourage efforts of young social workers in various fields of public service, bring them in limelight and express gratitude towards them on behalf of the entire youth community. The Puraskar comprises of Rs 25000 cash, a certificate and a memento.

It was the turning point in her life and since 1994 she has been committed to social service through Chitrakoot Project of DRI. She conducted a self-reliance campaign in about 500 villages around Chitrakoot.
