Uttarakhand state convention of Rashtriya Sikh Sangat was held in Haridwar on September 23. Addressing the workers national president Sardar Gurcharan Singh Gill said the publicity and applaud that the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat received during the 300 anniversary celebration of Shri Guru Grantha Saheb in Nanded Saheb from saints, scholars, ideologues and general public energised the Sangat workers. He said the Sikh Sangat workers would also organise various kinds of sewa activities including langar, free medical camp, exhibition, etc during the Kumbh Mela to be organised in Haridwar from April 14 next year. RSS Sampark Pramukh and senior advocate Shri Vinod Nautiyal pointed out that more than two crore devotees from across the world assemble in Haridwar during the Kumbha. He said serving the devotees during such occasions is nothing but serving the Vahe Guru. Sikh Sangat state president Sardar Sukhdev Singh Namdhari assured the Sikh Sangat leadership that the state unit is ready to discharge any activity that the national leadership entrusts them. National general secretary of Sikh Sangat Shri Avinash Jaiswal, Akhil Bharatiya Media Pramukh Dr Avtar S. Shastri, editor of Sangat Sansar Sardar Jagjivan Jot Singh Anand, Sardar Charan Singh Nayak of Lakhishah Banjara Samaj also spoke on the occasion. Swami Chinmayanand, Swami Jiteshwaranand and Sant Baba Bachan Singh also blessed the gathering.
