Under its Pravasi Hindi Prasar Mission, Delhi unit of Bharat Vikas Parishad honoured the foreign students of Indian origin in New Delhi. Ambasaddor of Fiji in India Shri Savenaca Kaunisela was the chief guest. Shri Jaiprakash Agrawal, MP, and former Mayor of Delhi, Shri Mahesh Chandra Sharma, Shri Bhupendra Mohan Bhandari, Shri Sunil Garg and Shri Rajkumar Jain jointly inaugurated the function. Former CBI Director Shri SK Dutta, eminent cardiologist Dr Naresh Trehan, Shri Kunwar Karan Singh, MLA, were also present on the occasion. Shri Savenaca Kaunisela said learning different languages helps one increase the understanding of different cultures. It gives us a platform to interact with each other easily. Dr Naresh Trehan appealed to the people to become GHB (good human being) instead of becoming VIPs. A total of 12 students were honoured at the function.
