Sangh Samachar RSS workers condole death of innocent citizens in Mumbai terror attack

Following the appeal of RSS Sarkaryavah Shri Mohan Bhagwat, the RSS swayamsevaks along with various social, religious organisations paid rich tribute to the martyrs of Mumbai terrorist attack and at some places took out processions against terrorism.

A condolence meeting was held at Azad Park Lahurabir crossing in Varanasi on December 4 to pay the tribute. Paying tribute RSS Vibhag Sanghachalak Dr Ramesh Kumar described the terrorist attack on Mumbai as just not merely an attack but a full-fledged war against the country. He appealed to the government to foil all the game plans of the terrorists. Shri Suresh Bhatt, national general secretary, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad said the objective of the terrorism was to disturb peace of the country. ?All organisations associated with the RSS have been opposing all such game plans for long,? he said. He appealed to the government to enact a stern anti-terror law. Shri Ramgulam of Vanvasi Sewa Samarpan Sansthan appealed to the people to help the victims wholeheartedly. Shri Prem Kapoor, Mahanagar president of BJP, demanded stern action against the terrorists.

Prior to it, school children of various schools took out processions in different parts of the city. Later, all the processions culminated at Azad Park. Shri Sanjay Singh of Hindu Jagran Manch, Shri Rajesh Trivedi of Sanskar Bharati, Shri Arjun Upadhyaya of Vidya Bharati also spoke on the occasion.

A similar condolence meeting was held in Dehradun on December 3. RSS Sahsarkaryavah Shri Sureshrao Joshi, who is popularly known as Bhaiyaji Joshi, was among the prominent dignitaries who paid tribute. About 1000 people paid tribute to the terror victims. Addressing the gathering Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi said the politicians should show wisdom and at least should not insult the martyrs as was done in the case of Mumbai. ?Insulting the martyrs will demoralise the security personnel that can prove disastrous for the country,? he said appealing to the countrymen to raise their voice against terrorism and fight against it. RSS Uttaranchal Prant Pracharak Shri Shivprakash, several MLAs and people belonging to various organisations were also present on the occasion.

The people of Amritsar also paid tribute to the terror victims at historic Jalianwala Bagh on December 5. Representatives belonging to more than 500 organisations of the city participated in the meeting. They resolved to create a strong force of people against terrorism. They stressed the need to reform the anti-terror laws so that terrorists could be given a befitting reply. The speakers at the meeting said the country paid a heavy price for taking the terrorism lightly. Prominent among those who paid tribute included Prant Karyavah Shri Munishwar, state VHP president Shri Santosh Gupta, state convener of Bajrang Dal Shri Rakesh Madan, state president of Rashtriya Sikh Sangat Sardar Rabhubir Singh, state vice president of Itihas Sankalan Yojna Dr Prem Prakash Punj, Shri Indrapal of Arya Samaj, Shri Subhash Sharma of ABVP, Shri Dina Nath of BMS and senior BJP leader Dr Baldevraj Chawla.
