“The BJP would march to Lal Chowk in Srinagar to hoist the National Flag if the Centre failed to quell the separatists in Jammu and Kashmir,? said BJP national president Shri Rajnath Singh while addressing the state executive of Karnataka BJP at Bangalore.

?Had the UPA government shown courage and repudiated the demand of anti-India forces, the present crisis could have been averted. But the UPA government thought and acted otherwise creating a situation, which led to a big communal divide in Jammu and Kashmir. Now the agitation over the issue has reached to a point where it could easily spread to other parts of the country,? Shri Rajnath Singh said.

After the formation of the BJP government in Karnataka, this is the first state executive where the state unit of BJP honoured the new Chief Minister Shri B.S. Yeddyurappa in the presence of BJP national president Shri Rajnath Singh, BJP general secretary Organisation Shri Ramlal, national general secretary Shri Ananth Kumar and joint general secretary Shri V Satish. Karnataka state BJP chief Shri Sadanand Gowda and state general secretary organisation Shri Santosh besides state executive members on the occasion.

After the BJP'sperformance in assembly polls, the national president called on the Karnataka unit to set a target of winning 25 of the total 28 Lok Sabha seats. He cautioned the party that the opposition Congress and the JD(S) are likely to join hands in the Lok Sabha polls and asked the party men to be prepared to face such a combined resistance. Shri Singh showered praise on Shri Yeddyurappa for fulfilling many of the poll promises committed by the party.

Giving a strong signal to the ruling UPA, BJP chief Shri Rajnath Singh said: ?It is surprising that in spite of intelligence reports that the ISI and anti-India forces were planning to vitiate the atmosphere of Jammu and Kashmir just before assembly elections, the UPA government failed to prevent this ugly situation. The UPA government has messed up completely the whole issue by playing into the hands of separatist forces. Today the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is so grim that the anti-India forces have not only managed to hoist the Pakistani Flag at Srinagar'sLal Chowk on the Independence Day but are also threatening to cross the LoC.?

The government had introduced certain Confidence Building Measures (CBMs) with Pakistan hoping it would build a warm and cordial atmosphere between India and Pakistan. On the contrary, these CBMs have failed in containing terrorist activities in the country as the ISI and other anti-India forces have been actively involved in carrying out most of the terrorist attacks on Indian soil, Shri Singh said. The BJP demands the government to initiate aggressive diplomatic action against Pakistan.

Shri Singh further said: ?The National Security Advisor Shri MK Narayanan recently claimed that the Intelligence Agencies of the country had unearthed nearly 800 sleeper modules in the country. But his claims were contended with the former Deputy National Security Advisor, Shri Satish Chandra, who questioned the authenticity of his claims and demanded concrete evidence from him.

BJP demands the Prime Minister to clarify this confusion over the NSA'sclaims and issue a statement over the present status of sleeper modules in the country.

Stating that the terrorists are working on a multi-pronged strategy to damage India not only politically and socially but also trying to dent its economy. Shri Singh said: ?Anti-India forces like the ISI have pumped in large chunks of counterfeit currency worth billions of rupees into India through Bangladesh and Nepal borders. According to recent estimates by a government panel, fake currency worth Rs 1 lakh 69 thousand crore are already in circulation. Fake Indian currency notes have been recently confiscated by the government in many parts of the country. The counterfeit currency notes were also found at the branches of the SBI, which indicates the gravity and extent of this problem. These confiscations have pointed the finger towards a larger design of anti-India forces to unleash economic terrorism in India.

This money is being actively used to fund more than 5000 sleeper modules present in the country. Therefore, the central government needs do its best to cut this supply of counterfeit currency. BJP demands the government to publish a white paper on circulation of fake currency in India.

Shri Singh drew the attention of Election Commission by saying: ?Certain political parties from Jammu and Kashmir, who are openly taking anti-India stands, demanding circulation of Pak currency in the state and trying to cross the LoC. If the BJP could be served notice by the EC for allegedly circulating a controversial CD during the UP Assembly elections, which we never claimed was ours, then there should at least be some action against all these parties, who have turned grossly anti-national in their bid to appease separatist forces.

Chief Minister of Karnataka Shri Yeddyurappa while addressing the state executive called on the party men to prepare for the by-elections which may be announced anytime soon. He said, ?The party will have to gear up for the by-elections to face a combined opposition. Indicating that more legislators are likely to join the BJP, he said the party'sstrength is expected to raise to 120 from present 110 so that it could enjoy a comfortable majority in the assembly. The new CM launched a scathing attack at the opposition parties by alleging them that they are trying to find faults with all the developmental initiatives of the government.

Shri Rajnath Singh after attending the state executive travelled through a state transport department bus for a long 35 km to reach the airport with the common passengers just to examine the condition of the transport facility. He was also accompanied by state Transport Minister and mediapersons.
