Valedictory function of Vishwa Sangh Shiksha Varga was held at Keshav Memorial High School, Hyderabad, on August 10. Shri Manas Ghosh, chief editor of the Statesman was chief guest with special presence of Shri Suraj Prasad Agarwal, president of FAPCCI. RSS Sarkaryavah Shri Mohan Bhagwat was the main speaker.

In order to achieve unity and fraternity amongst Hindus all over the world organisations, like Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh and Bharatiya Swayamsevak Sangh have been working. Once in four years training camps are held in India to train the karyakartas of these organisations. The camp this time was held at Sarada Dhamam in Hyderabad.

A total of 73 swayamsevaks from eight countries participated in the camp. As part of the training, the trainees were taken round village Khanapur to introduce the village to them. Pathsanchalan was conducted in the streets of Hyderabad. Fifty families of the city brought food and served to the trainees during the matrihaste bhojan. More than 500 shakhas are being run, most of them being weekly meetings in various countries. Service programmes are also being conducted under the Sewa International. In the recent cyclone that shook USA and Britain, services were rendered to the affected people.

RSS Sarkaryavah Shri Mohan Bhagwat speaking on the occasion narrated how in the olden days students from other countries used to come to India in pursuit of knowledge. Nalanda, Takshashila and Vallabhnagar universities were famous during those days. From the recent past, people are going abroad from our country. What India can give to the world? Is India in a position to give? World is looking to India for solutions to many of the ills plaguing it. Examples are environmental protection, family system and capacity to overcome religious fundamentalism.

That is why Arnold Toyanbee said that westerners have taken the world very much forward in technological revolution but the end has to take place in India only as otherwise world destruction will take place. Therefore, India has to share her thoughts with the world and the world should get faith in India about her ability. Responsibility rests on us. It has to be achieved and we are growing in that direction. World peace is very likable for Indians whereas words like Power and Command are likable for other countries. Therefore, they keep on attacking. To overcome these problems we have to speak in a language, which they understand. For that we have to become strong.

Kashmir Government has taken back the land given to Amarnath Shrine Board buckling under pressure from destructive forces. High Court and Assembly of the State there gave the land to the Board. That too it was given on lease for a period of three months each year for making temporary arrangements for the pilgrims. People of Jammu became angry when even this land was taken back. Agitation was started thus. According to latest information one team from Hurriyat went and met the Pakistan Prime Minister. There is a change in the attitude after that meeting. They started talking of solution to Kashmir problem as a prelude to India-Pakistan good relations. Some intellectuals are analyzing that this could lead to strife in the Kashmir Valley.

Therefore, to overcome these difficulties, India has to become strong. Every Hindu in India is child of Bharatmata and hence all Hindus together should become strong. This is our collective work. Let all of us together take India to greater heights. Let us achieve universal happiness, he added.

Shri Suraj Prasad Agarwal said at a time when values of culture are on the decline, the efforts of Vishwa Niketan to propagate the values of Indian culture are praiseworthy. Shri Manas Ghosh said India achieved Independence 61 years ago and we are witnessing both internal and external problems for the last two years, which we never saw before.
