Candle march by ABVP in support of Tibetans

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad took out a candle march in Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi against the atrocities perpetuated on Tibetans by Chinese army. Hundreds of students, demanded liberation of Tibet on April 17. Addressing the demonstrators Dr Kuldip Agnihotri of Bharat Tibet Sahayog Manch alleged that the Government of India has surrendered before the Chinese Government. Participation of Chinese security personal in Olympic torch relay at Rajpath is a serious matter for the country. The Government of India should apologise before the nation. He said the Indian Parliament had resolved on November 14, 1962 to liberate every inch of Indian land from China, but the government appears to have forgotten the resolution. He appealed to the Government to make efforts to liberate Indian land from illegal occupation of China. Dr Agnihotri further said the Olympic Torch relay taken out on Rajpath did not have participation of the people of India. While a similar torch relay taken out from Rajghat the same day for liberation of Tibet had overwhelming participation of people of India, he said. Shri Manoj Kumar, vice president of Delhi unit of ABVP and president of JNU unit Shri Devendra Sahu were also present on the occasion.
