National convention of BJP CA cell

A function on the theme of ?Knowledge Economy?the growth propellant for India? was organised by BJP Chartered Accountants Cell in New Delhi on April 19. A total of 225 Chartered Accountants from various parts of the country, attended the programme.

Chief of Gayatri Pariwar Dr Pranav Pandya was the chief guest. BJP president Shri Rajnath Singh presided over the function and Shri Prabhat Jha, MP, and national secretary of BJP, Shri Suresh Prabhu, former Union Minister and Shri Rajiv Pratap Rudy, former Union Minister, were the guests of honour.

In his keynote speech, Dr Pranav Pandya gave a PowerPoint presentation on the subject, exclusively dealing with many aspects of Knowledge Economy. Everybody was spellbound by his speech and in-depth analysis of the subject.

Shri Rajnath Singh spoke from the heart giving spiritual dimension to the whole subject expounding science and spirituality and how broad mind and expanded mind is directly proportional to the happiness of the individual. He had all the praise for the Cell to have the vision to organise a convention of such magnitude and profound subject. After this Shri Singh released a journal of the Cell, which covers forty relevant topics giving details of Knowledge Economy and its role in economic development of the country.

In the first technical session, Shri Anil Sharma spoke on four pillars of Knowledge Economy and Shri Prabhat Jha spoke on the importance of knowledge, only if it is for the welfare of the people otherwise it is futile. In the second technical session, Shri Anil Gupta gave a presentation on the role of CAs in nation building, giving several aspects of individual development.

Shri Rajiv Pratap Rudy pointed out the need of a vision with a long-term perspective that can only lead the economic development of the country. He gave several examples of initiatives taken by the NDA regime, which resulted in the prosperity of the country. In his concluding remarks Shri Gopal K. Agarwal, convener of the CA Cell, spoke on the necessity of the convention.

The prominent persons who were present at the function were Shri N.C. Maheshwari, president Commodity Participants Association of India (CPAI), Shri R.C. Maheshwari, president Depository Participant Association of India (DPAI), Shri H.P. Singh, finance controller of Gayatri Parivar, Shri M.K. Rustagi, president of Noida Management Association (NMA), Shri Sanjay Tandon, secretary of BJP (Chandigarh and Haryana), Shri Kirit Somaiya MP, Dr Mahesh Sharma, Shri O.P. Kohli, Parliamentary Party Secretary of BJP, Shri Shanmukhnathan, Shri Anil Joshi, president of Aksharam and many other prominent persons.
