?The nuclear agreement with the US or the peace process with Pakistan may be the subject of discussion, but Sri Ram Sethu is not the subject of discussion. Rather discussion should be held over how to protect the Sethu so that the coming generations could see, study and respect it. There is no necessity to even listen to the questions claiming that Ram Sethu is a ?myth? or ?superstition?. The existence of Ram Sethu cannot be questioned just with the statements of those people who neither know the culture of this nation nor do they respect it. It has been the centre of faith and reverence for crores of people for thousands of years. Even if it is proved that Ram Sethu is not man-made, the government should not think of its destruction. A committee comprising of experts should try to find out alternate routes for navigation of ships. It will be like challenging our own existence if we create environmental imbalance by destroying the Sethu.? ?Mata Amritanandamayi
