?The incidents mentioned in the Ramayana have been the symbol of development of our civilisation on this ancient land for centuries. Sri Ram is a great ideal for the people of a large part of the world and like the spiritual great personalities of other faiths, the influence of Sri Ram goes beyond the borders of religions and communities of the world. India is proud of her rich spiritual traditions and diverse cultural identities. It is unfortunate that some people have tried to create an unnecessary controversy over the issue of Ram Sethu, which is avoidable.?

?Shri Prakash Singh Badal
Chief Minister of Punjab
