Dadra Nagar Haveli unit of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram has started a campaign for environment protection. Under the campaign, the Kalyan Ashram got a special poster printed and displayed more than 1200 posters in over 40 villages to make the villagers aware of the environment protection. Besides it a special tree plantation campaign has also been launched in the villages in the months of June and July. Last year too the Kalyan Ashram had made similar attempts in this regard and had planted hundreds of saplings. This year, some industrial units were contacted for sponsorship and also to actively involve them in the campaign. A large number of industrialists have joined hands with the Kalyan Ashram in this cause. The names of those industrialists who lent a helping hand were printed on the poster as the sponsor and distributed in the whole area. (FOC)
