Swayamsevaks undergoing third-year training in Nagpur were excited to see an unusual guest among them on June 5. The guest was none other than the former Air Chief Martial Shri Anil Yashvant Tipnis who led the Indian Air Force during the Kargil War and had himself bombed the enemy forces. Shri Tipnis was in Nagpur to attend the concluding ceremony of RSS third year training camp. Before the concluding ceremony, Shri Tipnis along with Sarsanghachalak Shri K.S. Sudarshan visited the Smriti Mandir and paid floral tributes to Dr Hedgewar and Shri Guruji, the founder and second Sarsanghachalak of RSS respectively. Prior to it, he visited the Reshim Bagh Sangh Karyalaya and was formally introduced with the senior Sangh functionaries there. He also had lunch with the swayamsevaks. The great warrior of the Indian Air Force was also accorded grand welcome at the Karyalaya. Sahsarkaryavah Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi and Vidarbha Prant Sahsanghchalak Dr Shriram Joshi had earlier welcomed him at the Nagpur Airport.
The concluding ceremony began at sharp 6.30 pm with dhwajarohan and prarthana. It was followed by pathsanchalan, demonstration of danda, niyudha, yoga, dharma yudha, physical exercise, surya namaskar and marvellous display of ghosh. After that Shrikrishna Maheshwari, Sarvadhikari of the Varga, gave detailed information of the month-long activities conducted at the Varga. He said a total of 830 swayamsevaks from 38 Prants including some swayamsevaks from America, Nepal and Singapore, participated in the Varga.
After the meaningful speech of Shri Tipnis, Sarsanghachalak Shri K.S. Sudarshan said the Sangh is already working in the directions, which Shri Tipnis has mentioned in his speech. He said the very foundation of the Sangh work is pure love for the country and amicable solution to the problems. He said the society has two kinds of problems?immediate and long standing. With regard to the immediate problems, during any natural calamity, etc. the Sangh has always extended a helping hand irrespective of caste, religion, etc. Some people term the Sangh as anti-Muslim, but the Sangh has never discriminated against anybody during the service activities. In this regard, he referred the plane crash of Saudi Arabia in Charakhi Dadari, near Delhi, where the swayamsevaks helped the victims all and sundry.
Talking about the long standing problems, he said the swayamsevaks are working in various fields of the society to solve the problems. To combat the menace of conversion, which is taking place in Vanvasi areas with the help of foreign money, the Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram has reached 70,000 villages out of the total 1,60,000 Vanvasi villages. He said with the efforts of Kalyan Ashram even a large number of converted people have returned home. Similarly, he gave the accounts of the activities of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, Akhil Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, Grahak Panchayat, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Poorva Sainik Sewa Parishad, etc. He said the swayamsevaks have also been working for eradicating untouchability from the society and informed that during the birth centenary year of Shri Guruji the main theme of the celebration was social harmony.
About the Constitution of India the Sarsanghachalak said though more than 100 times it has been amended during the last over 50 years, there is still a need to revise it. He said the new constitution should be made according to the needs and requirements of the nation. He pointed out that the constitution of France has been revised fifth time. He said the election process has divided the society into castes, regions, languages, etc.
