Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) published a comprehensive book on its 42 years journey to pay tribute to Shri Guruji. The 470 pages book-42 Varsh ki Vikas Yatra-has been published in Hindi and English. The book was released on February 13 at the Third Vishwa Hindu Sammelan in Prayag. It is to be noted that the birth anniversary of Shri Guruji also lies on February 13 as per the Hindu calendar.
According to Shri Sadanand Kakare, former Vice President and member of VHP'sAdvisory Board, the third Vishwa Hindu Sammelan was dedicated to Shri Guruji. About three lakh people from 100 countries of the world and also from remote areas of India participated in the Sammelan. The specialty of the Sammelan was that youth from one-lakh villages participated in the Sammelan and they resolved to undertake a Ram Jagaran campaign in one-lakh villages. According to Shri Kakare, all the representatives of one-lakh villages who participated in the Sammelan were provided the idols of Shri Ram, which will be formally installed in the respective villages for pooja.
The Ram Jagaran campaign is part of the preparations lunched by VHP for reconstruction of Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya. People will resolve that only Shri Ram temple would be constructed at the birthplace and no mosque in Ayodhya will be tolerated.
The Sammelan also discussed population imbalance and said that Hindus cannot live with pride until Shri Ram temple is constructed. The Sammelan discussed at length the ways and means to protect the cow. Discussion was also held on conversion.
The VHP today has organisational committees at 60,000 places of the country. Now it has been resolved to increase this number up to one lakh. The number of Ekal Vidyalayas will also be increased to one lakh. Every Ekal Vidyalaya would impart the religious and primary health knowledge to all the students. The VHP has also decided to increase the number of existing 24,000 Satsang Kendras to 50,000. (FOC)
