All India president of Shri Guruji Birth Centenary Celebration Committee and founder of Bharatmata Mandir, Haridwar, Swami Satyamitranand Giri has called upon the Hindus to defend Hinduism themselves and remove their shortcomings. He was addressing a massive gathering in Dehradun recently. It was the biggest Hindu sammelan held in the State capital during the birth centenary of Shri Guruji.

The function began with a Kalash Yatra by women in traditional dress. The yatra started from Gandhi Park and concluded at the Rangers College ground. After that Swami Satyamitranand, folk singer of Uttaranchal Shri Narendra Singh Negi, shooter Shri Jaspal Rana, Guru Charan Das from Valmiki Samaj, Shri Devidas Chaodhary from Jatav Samaj, Sardar Phool Singh from Sikh Samaj, Shri Suresh Chand Jain from Jain Samaj, Shri Devdut Bali from Arya Samaj were welcomed by showering petals.

Swami Satyamitranand Giri further said the diminishing number of Hindu population would create a danger for the Hindu society in near future. ?The Hindus should never forget that at the current rate of growth, the Muslim population in the country will be more than that of Hindus in another 50 years. This prediction has been based on facts and figures after a thorough study of religious demography in India. Who will then stop Muslims from demanding another partition of the country on the ground that they cannot live with kafirs? For the Hindus, India is the only geography left on earth. Muslims populate 16 countries totally and in as many and more they dominant. A non-Muslim cannot practice his faith with honour in these Islamic states, where will the Hindus go then? For, Hindu history has established that when the Hindus population reduces in a geographic unit, that part disconnected them and also disconnected from India,? he added.

He criticised Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh for his recent pro-Muslim statement. He said the Hindu culture was so old and well established that it was not possible to destroy it. Although many unsuccessful attempts were made in this regard. ?Those who cannot defend their religion cannot defend themselves. So, Hindus should always be ready to defend their religion. It is time for Hindus to wake up; otherwise they will become a minority in their own nation,? he added. He called upon the Hindus to give up their differences and unsociability, selfishness and work for their nation. He also called for removing the evils of caste system within the Hindu society. Veteran Sangh activist Dr Nityanand, former Chief Minister of Uttaranchal Shri Nityanand Swami, Prant Sanghachalak Shri Chandrapal Singh Negi, Prant Pracharak Shri Shiv Prakash, Prant Karyavah Shri Shashikand Dixit were also present on the occasion.

Addressing a massive gathering in another Hindus sammelan at Bhalla Inter College, Haridwar, Swami Chidanand Muni Maharaj said the Hindu sammelans should serve as an abiding inspiration to the Hindus. He said the Hindu dharma is a highly liberal and tolerant way of worship but it is the high time for the Hindus to defend their religion and themselves from constant attacks of so called secularists and politicians and other aggressors. ?Let the Hindus not allow anyone to harm their religion and their self-respect. They should teach lesson to the politicians who are favouring terrorists like Afzal Guru and are insulting Hinduism by arresting Shankaracharya on Deepavali day. All the problems of Hindus will be solved when the Hindus become sensible enough and get united,? he added. Swami Hansdas also addressed the sammelan and appealed to the Hindus to be united for their own existence.
