Of lovely friends
And lethal foes,
Of divine people
And satanic animals,
Of successful journeys
And wrecked ships,
Of charming golden fishes
And dangerous wild sharks,
Of valueless pearls for the determined
And deadly creatures for the idles,
Of deep blue calm water on the surface
And colourful corals beneath,
Of fragrant blooming flowers
And sharp pricking thistles,
Life is a vast ocean that needs
To be crossed with endless patience
