Once again, the bloody splash of human blood on July 11 in Kashmir followed by Mumbai in evening is enough to point that India is on the hit list of terrorist groups.
And at whose behest are these attacks being executed? All the arrests and tips so far obtained by intelligence agencies and police in Kashmir, Delhi and Mumbai point fingers at masterminds sitting across the fence.
Mumbai serial blasts claimed over 200 lives while Kashmir blasts claimed eight lives, majority of them innocent Hindu pilgrims. In six major attacks on tourists and pilgrims in Kashmir since May, 19 tourists have been killed.
A day after eight Hindus, five of whom women pilgrims from West Bengal, were killed in Kashmir in grenade attacks. Islamic terrorists have killed four Hindus in border district of Poonch on July 13 morning.
Police sources say that a group of terrorists killed four person including two girls in a pre-dawn attack in Magnar village, about 240 km north west of Jammu. A group of terrorists descended on the village at around 1.30 am on July 13, and barged into one Hindu house, opened indiscriminate firing, killing four people, which included two young sisters.
The dead include Monika and Priyanka, daughters of Mangoo. Their mother Sunita Sharma and five-year-old sister Kamini are seriously injured in the firing.
Later the terrorists forced entry into another Hindu house and killed two brothers?Lokesh Kumar and Pankaj Kumar?sons of Ashok Kumar.
Soon after the incident, the terrorists fled taking advantage of darkness and heavy rains. This is the third such major incident of terrorist violence targeted against minorities in the Jammu region in recent weeks. Terrorists had gunned down 13 Hindus in Basangarh area of Udhampur district on April 30, and the next day they killed 22 more in Kulhand area of Doda district.
Inspector General of Police, Jammu zone, S.P. Vaid said reinforcements are being sent to track the killers. The state unit of BJP, protesting the killings of Hindu pilgrims in Kashmir held massive protests, burning the effigies of Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad in Jammu against the failure of the state government in checking violence against Hindus. Over 2000 BJP workers led by state party president Nirmal Singh took out protests rally voicing serious concern over deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
Raising anti-Azad and anti-Congress slogans, the party workers sought stringent security measures to counter attacks against Hindus seeking dismissal of the state and central governments for failure to provide security cover to people. Talking to media, Singh said the whole India is under terrorist attack and some thing serious needs to be done to destroy all the sympathisers of terrorists. He said the Congress governments at the Centre and state by repealing the laws like POTA have demonstrated their lack of will to fight terror.
